We hope everyone had as much fun during the ice storm as our incredible bison did today! 🦬 ❄️

Did you know these magnificent creatures are truly built for the cold? With their thick, dense fur coats acting as perfect insulation, bison can brave even the harshest winter weather! Imagine them galloping through the snow, completely unfazed by the frigid temperatures! This amazing coat, paired with a layer of fat beneath their skin, keeps them cozy, allowing them to withstand bone-chilling temperatures as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit! Isn’t that fascinating?

Action Wildlife Foundation is a Non-Profit, privately owned facility. We do not receive any government funding or grants! Any money that you pay in our park goes right back into our facility and helps us care for our animals. This includes admission, gift shop, and donations. Donations are tax deductible!

We accept financial donations for various projects and programs. These include but are not limited to: education, animal care, and the general operations of the organization. Who needs a camel when you’ve got Sydney the alpaca bringing the hump day feels? 🐫💁‍♀️

Alpacas, llamas, and camels are all members of the camelid biological family. Camelids are even towed, ruminant mammals with a 3-chambered stomach. Guanaco and vicuña are also included in this classification of animals.
