We are looking for Dog foster homes within a 40 mile radius of Gouverneur. We have 2 large breed dogs and 4 small breeds we would like to help, but not enough room at our shelter. Often the small breeds get adopted quickly, so they probably would be short term fosters. Prefer homes with a fenced yard. If interested , please private message us with your phone number and I will start call backs later this afternoon. We supply everything the dogs need. Food, bedding and medical care. You supply the love and care these dogs so desperately need.

Thank You to Charlie Hyde for his generous donation of Chewy Gift Cards to the shelter!! Charlie adopted Bowzer from the shelter last year, and Bowzer loves his older brother! We need a few new cat towers at the shelter and will use some of the funds for that. We are so grateful. 🧡🐾💙

This stray male kitty showed up at a home in Theresa. Good Samaritans took it to the vet, it received a rabies shot and was dewormed. They can not keep him and would like to find him a permanent home. He is not yet neutered but we can help you set that up. He’s believed to be young, but we dont know his exact age. Please message us if you’d like to give him a home and we will put you in touch with the caretaker. 🧡

Is anyone missing this dog? A Good Samaritan found on Parker St by the pits and brought to the shelter. Dog Control is on the way to pick up. Appears to be female, no collar.

Meet Valorie. One of the sweetest Cattle dog mixes ever. She is about a year old and weighs 30 pounds. Has been vet checked and gets spayed this week. Although we bailed her out of the dog pound, pretty sure she came from an Amish farm. There is not one person she does not like, and will probably do well with another dog in the home. She is still learning about what it’s like to be in a building and all the different sights and sounds. Never been on a leash , but she will learn. It will be about a week before she can leave us. One thing I must mention, she is very laid back and calm. Not a trait that follows the herding breeds, so she is unique. ❤️

We have two little dogs that really love the following treats:

*Milk Bone soft and chewy bones (beef flavored.
*Pupperoni sticks

Our kitties can always use:

*Purina kitten chow
*Purina cat chow
*Tidy cat (in the yellow pail)

For cleaning:
* Laundry soap (any kind)
* Dryer sheets
* Clorox

Thank you for all the generous donations we receive because without you we wouldn't be able to care for all these babies.
