Our shelter dogs know how to celebrate! Spreading love, one wagging tail at a time. Wishing you a happy and safe Fourth of July from our shelter family to yours!

We’re keeping our shelter pups safe and sound this 4th of July. Remember to keep your pups indoors and in a secure place during fireworks 🎆

(Product used on dogs is dog friendly and safe. No dogs were harmed and received plenty of treats for participating!!!)

Introducing, Dr. Jaclyn Burke!

In 2018 Jaclyn was the Humane Society of Young County’s board president! She spent many countless hours pouring her heart into our shelter! Fast forward to 2021 she officially resigned from our board. It wasn’t a good bye only a see ya later as she was headed to vet school and promised she would be back! Through all the obstacles and the late night study sessions you never lost sight of the end goal! Fast forward to 2025 and guess who’s back?!

Dr. Jaclyn Burke has earned her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and completed her clinical rotations at Oklahoma State University with a focus on shelter medicine.

Please join us in giving a heartfelt welcome back to Dr. Jaclyn Burke! Dr. Burke will be one of the friendly faces you will meet when you bring your pets to a PETS low cost clinic! We're proud to call her ours.

Congratulations to Jolly and his new family! He’s going to be one happy, spoiled guy! Thank you for adopting!
