This HANDSOME Dude came in to see us yesterday to get a few vaccines he was due for and to have us give him his preventions so he could leave the clinic mad at us and not at his dad 😂
Your pet can be as cool as this Dude too, just call and schedule an appointment for vaccinations, preventions, wellness exam, spay/neuter, sick pet exams, x-rays, blood work, dentals, whatever your pet needs!

What: Rattlesnake Vaccine Drive- Thru Event
When: Tuesday June 13th from 10am-2pm
Where: Countryside Vet 767 Hwy 67 in Graham

Things to know:
•This vaccine is for dogs atleast 16 weeks of age and over.
•You must send $28 to us through Venmo between now and Tuesday.
•You do not need to call and make an appt, just show up between 10&2 after you’ve paid on Venmo and hop in line.
•You will not need to get the dog out of the car, we will come out to you.
•If you prefer an appt, call us and we will be happy to set up an appt for you to bring your pets in.
• This includes first rattlesnake vaccine and boosters.

RATTLESNAKE BITE!
Great guesses, by the way!

Snake bites, especially in the mouth, are severely life threatening. The chances of survival after a bite are drastically better if the pet has had their rattlesnake vaccine, which Tara had received at our clinic.
Having the vaccine bought her parents enough time to load her up and get her to our clinic so that we could administer anti-venom and provide intensive care. After 3 days in our ICU, and a surgically placed esophageal feeding tube, so that Miss Tara could be fed through recovery, we were able to send her home to recover. When she came in for her recheck appointment she was healing very nicely. 👌🏻 The proof is in the pictures!

Moral of the story: Rattlesnake vaccines are important to have, especially in the spring/summer in Texas. Our clinic can provide the vaccine, but more importantly, we can also provide the intensive care required after a bite to save your pets life!

This is Honey, a 3 year old dachshund who went into labor in the early hours of November 4th. She presented to CSVH that morning after giving birth to one puppy when her owners realized labor had stalled. Within 2 hours, our team had mom on and off the table to be reunited with her (now much larger) family.

While each individual will vary, it is always a good idea to contact a veterinarian if more than two hours pass between each puppy delivery. In some situations, mom may just need more time with a little help from some labor medications. In others, like with Honey, a c-section is necessary to protect both mom and pups.

For Honey, who had a rupture of her uterus, the decision was made to spay her during the c-section. So while this is her last litter, she's being an excellent mom and the whole family is doing great!

(Just no one tell Chip that he's the next member of the family scheduled to come in for a visit!)
