One of our adult fieldies FAVORITE pastimes ever is FastCAT. We’re keeping it very short due to growing bodies, but Fern (formerly Esther - Grey Collar) and Gus (formerly Errol - Red Collar) are getting an early introduction.

Lila, formerly known as Doris/Dory (Blue Collar) has left for her new home this afternoon. Even tho I know every single one of their homes is going to be amazing, it’s so hard to let them go. It’s definitely been hard on the emotions. Thankfully our last puppy to leave will be here for about 3 more weeks. We love you forever Lila, safe travels.

And then there were three… Plucky little Bocce, formerly known as Fay (Teal collar) left for her new home this afternoon. Bocce was a total surprise. We had met our x-ray puppy count, I was packing everything up, Frannie was eating and acting like she was done, and then boop, one little strain, and Bocce came into the world like a tiny little firecracker. She’s been a spitfire ever since. We love you forever, our perfect little surprise, safe travels home.

Juniper, formerly known as Greta (green collar) is our third puppy to leave for her forever home. I was hoping it would get easier as each puppy leaves, but they’re all just so special. We love you forever Juni, safe travels. 💕

And another puppy went home today. Clover, formerly Bette (pink collar) reminds me so so much of Frannie as a puppy. She’s the only one staying local to us, and I hope we can have a play date in the future. Happy trails, little one, we love you forever. 💕

We didn’t do anything structured today. We just let the puppies be little wild gremlins in the yard, exploring and just doing silly puppy things. 💕

It is approximately 1 million degrees outside today, so today we’re having one on one time with mum, and one on one time with the human.

The puppies have been cooped up inside more often than not due to the heat the past few days. They’re taking it out in pure puppy craziness.

We have been working on a lot of basics this week: pottying outside, coming when called, and learning to enjoy our crates. By no means will these kiddos be house, obedience, or crate trained by the time they are ready to leave for their homes; with puppies that will be a work in progress for quite some time! However, these small sessions will hopefully be good foundations for their future people to begin to build off of.

I very nearly called off of work this morning because the puppies were being just TOO cute. As you can see, they’ve perfected the Pound Puppy eyes already!

Wil (from our 2021 litter) is a wonderful example of just how goofy and good a field spaniel boy could be. I think he’s gonna miss the puppies as much as we will when they go to their future homes!

Today was a big day! The puppies got to experience grass and see some chickens! I’m not sure which group was more curious, the chickens or the puppies.
