We call him Red; his name may sound plain but he is far from that. Red is a nice well rounded, all around gelding that we are proud to offer. He is very honest down the trails, he is seasoned and solid on the ranch, in the feedlot and is a nice heel horse. This is a horse that is absolutely fun to ride! Red is one hand broke, moves off your leg, side passes both directions, opens and closes gates. He is good with ropes; we have drug hundreds of calves with him in the branding pen. He is the same horse every day, every time, and everywhere. He was started in a reining program, giving him cadence circles on a draped rein, lead departures, spins, lead changes and is easily guided. Drifter rides just as good out side gathering cattle, down the trail, or out in the meadow as he does in the arena. He goes everywhere you ask; through the creeks, over downfall, bridges, the teeter-tooter and will ride out alone or in a group. We have gathered and sorted cattle on him. Drifter has the ability to do anything you want to do with him. He is quiet minded, athletic and has a willing to please attitude. Drifter is the go-to gelding around here and is everyone’s favorite. I can’t say enough good things about him, he does everything we ask him to. He will lope right off in either lead and Sully will lope around on a draped rein and guides right between your legs and reins with little effort. Rippen Rey Dr affectionately known as Lil Rey is one of my personal favorites! He has the biggest personality, he is a friend, an athlete, and everything you want in one and more. Standing 14.2h, he is tailor made and is pure perfection. Lil Rey lopes pretty circles on a draped rein, he has a nice turn around and really wants to stop. This is a dependable, very honest, one hand broke gelding that we really like. When it comes to tarps, flags or ropes he doesn't even look at them twice and they don't bother him one bit. He loves to bounce the big ball back and forth with a friend or play soccer in the arena. From the kids to grandma, Lil Rey is safe and honest every day. We have taken him out gathering cattle through the thickest brush you can imagine, and he goes right through it. Pongo got his name from all his “Dalmatian” type spots that make him so unique. He is the total package! Gentle for the entire family, honest down the trails, seasoned ranch horse and rope horse. If you can think of it he’s done it, or you will be able to do it with him. Pongo has been the babysitter for our 3 year old, to our main using ranch horse and everything in-between! He’s got the kindest personality and is always waiting at the gate ready to go for a ride. Pongos ground manners are great and he’s always gentle whether a kid or adult is handling him. He’s quiet to ride in town and around traffic. Pongo has done all aspects of ranch work from roping in the pasture, doctoring sick cattle, dragging calves to the fire and moving pairs from pasture to pasture. At weaning time Pongo is the go-to horse, he’s quiet in the herd, sorts great in the alley and you can run most any gate off of him. We haven’t found a task we couldn’t do with him. He’s absolutely great around the farm with all the equipment, dogs, and commotion going on around here daily. He gets along great in a pasture setting. He is fine stalled.
