RS Maverick Kirk, affectionately known around the barn as Goose. This 7-year-old, 15 hand gelding is the total package! He has the looks, mentality, manners, athletic ability and just enough “wow” factor to make everyone want to meet him. He’s the horse that’ll have you out there pretending you’re in a movie when really you’re just cruising through the pastures. He’s gentle, sound, and easy to be around. The type that doesn’t need to be ridden every day to stay broke you can pull him out after a week (or three), brush off the dust, hop on, and go. He’s dependable. Goose is great to ride in or out of the arena. He will Walk, trot, canter in the arena or in the field outside. He has a nice Stop and backs easily. He has been exposed to pretty much anything and everything we have thrown at him. From the big bouncy ball, the ropes all over his legs and even GUNFIRE. He’s handled it all. He stands to mount but better yet we have him trained to step over to the mounting block for an easier way to get on. We have gathered and sorted cattle with him here on our ranch. Casey has roped a few in the pasture with him and he could go to the team roping arena if you choose. We have hauled him to the local roping’s where we supply cattle and used him to flag, clear the arena and bring steers back. He has put in long days and stays where you put him. Goose he been a pleasure to have around and easy to ride. He never has had a bad day. He trains easily to new things and retains what you teach him. Goose Loads up easily in the trailer. He loves a bath after a long days work. He ties, stands for the farrier all without acting like it’s the end of the world. He’s basically that horse who’s always relaxed no matter what chaos you’ve got going on. He will walk up or down, over or under and through just about anything you point him at. Goose has a friendly personality. He is easy to catch, loves attention, has the look that everyone desires and a heart you can’t help but love. She is ready to take you to the top of the pay window. We have hauled her jackpots and she is really fun to rope on.
Luvbug would excel in the ranch versatility as well or would even have a ton of presence to her riding English.

She’s been exposed to a wide variety of situations and always handles herself with grace and confidence. Luvbug has also trail ridden and over night camping trips, covering some extremely difficult trails where she kept her cool crossing the river, carefully stepping down steep and slippery mud banks, knobby tree roots and slick rocks. Even thick brush doesn’t pose to be a problem for Luvbug. She is level headed, safe, and always tries her best to please her rider.
Luvbug has handled everything we have shown her with a willing to please attitude. She loves to push the big ball around the arena, will drag anything you hook your rope to and isn’t spooky of the tarp, flags, traffic, commotion of the kids or equipment. Kind natured and quiet is her everyday demeanor. She has no buck or bad habits and makes every ride enjoyable.

On the ranch luvbug is dependable doing all the ranch chores. She has doctored cattle in the pasture, worked the branding pen, sorted in the alley and moved pairs from pasture to pasture.

If you’re looking for the gelding that’s been there done that and perfect for the family Rusty is your guy! He is 10 years old and spent his life working on the ranch doctoring, sorting, gathering cattle and dragging calves at branding time. He will open and close any gate. Rusty has seen countless miles down the trails. He rides out with confidence making him your trusted partner whether you’re riding in a group or out alone. He crosses water, downfall, goes through the thick brush and over bridges. Rusty rides around on a loose rein and is easily guided one handed. Rusty is as solid and seasoned as they come outside and will fit most riders. In the arena he lopes around both ways, is soft in the bridle, and is low headed. He has a smooth jog and just makes every ride pleasurable. Rusty is gentle on the ground as well. He has always saddled up with no buck or bad habits. We have really enjoyed having Rusty around. We have ridden him everywhere even by the highway, at the ropings pushing up cattle, down town, and he has a yes sir/ yes ma’am kinda of attitude about everything you ask. Rusty has also been desensitized to the tarp, flags, dragging a barrel, flying a kite, shooting a gun and even an umbrella and slicker for the rainey days. Rusty has seen it all. Our little boy brushes him, runs around him with his toys and even takes him for a ride. Rusty is a true all around kinda gelding. R***r is just as versatile as he is talented. A true go-to for any and all jobs on the ranch. Sorting, gathering, branding and pasture doctoring, he does it all with ease. R***r has been heeled on in the roping arena.
With a sure-footed walk, he picks his way through rocky terrain, crosses water and will climb any hill you point him at. On the trails and the ranch, he pays great attention and always takes care of his riders. We ride him by the highway, around equipment and wildlife. R***r rides out easily with a one hand neck rein and goes the speed you ask. You can open and close gates on him. He side passes, is soft in the bridle, lopes around collected both directions, has a big stop and pivots around nicely. R***r is the perfect gentleman on the ground. Pooh Bear is your confident partner to get you through the rocky steep terrain safely with his experience and perfect foot placement. He will do all the trail obstacles without hesitation. Crossing creeks, downfall, bridges when asked and navigating the thickest brush Pooh Bear makes your ride feel like you’re in cruse control just point and go. The long days on the ranch is no feat for him either. We have gathered lots of cattle on him, loaded out trucks, drug calves at branding time he’s a seasoned veteran. Our kids are always running around him with their toys, brushing him or hold him so he can eat some grass. Pooh Bear is safe and gentle for our little ones to take him for a ride and should fit the whole family. In the arena he lopes around on a loose rein, picks up both leads and is soft in the bridle. Gus is genuine and everything about him is honest. He is a true one of a kind palomino gelding standing 15h. Gus loves all the scratches and cookies he can get. He’s the kind of horse that makes every ride feel easy with a natural laid back attitude and that cruise control gear everyone wishes for on the trail. Gus the perfect age at 10 years old giving him all the experience that makes him so solid, but also he has so many years left to enjoy with you. Ride him around wildlife, the highway or go to town and get some ice cream he doesn’t care. We have ridden him through the creeks, in the lake, gathering cattle, the thick brush and steep rocky terrain he does it all with ease. In the arena he picks up both leads and is soft in the bridle. Tarps, carry the flag, drag a tire, shoot off him, slickers, and the umbrella he has seen it all. Want to take the kids out to fly a kite on a windy day? Gus will do that too! We havnt found anything that rattles Gus. He’s a gentleman on the ground and saddles up the same every time you put your saddle on even with time off. We can’t say enough good things about Gus. Everyone that has taken him for a ride loves him and his easy going personality and big brown kind eyes. Down the trails we feel comfortable riding with our little girl. Stetson brushes him, leads him around and gives him treats. Gus is the true family horse. Stands tied, loads with ease, good to bath and is good in a stall or out with other horses. Ruby is a tried and true Montana mountain trail horse. She has been on many overnight camping trips in Montana where she had to navigate steep rocky slopes, deep flowing creeks, muddy trails, and even took some time to swim in the lake. If you point her she’s going to go anywhere you ask even up and down hard to navigate cliffs. Ruby is honest and easy to ride. In the arena she lopes around picking up both leads, nice turn around both ways, side passes, and stops on whoa with a smooth back up. Ruby isn’t new to the ranch either. She has done it all from gathering to loading out trucks. In the sorting alley so won’t let one by and will rope cattle on the outside and drag calves at branding time. Ruby is the perfect all around mare that will fit most of the riders in the family with her long resume. If you want to go to the play days she will do that as well. She runs the barrels and the poles. We have taken her to town to get coffee on the cold mornings and ice cream during the warm days. Traffic, bikes, and trains don’t bother her one bit. She is use to the commotion of kids, dirt bikes, equipment you name it she’s probably seen it. Ruby doesn’t mind tarps all over her, the big ball, and will drag anything you hook your rope to. Ruby loves to be groomed and bathed. She stands tied and loads right up in the trailer. We can’t say enough good things about her. Honest and ready for what the day brings is her mindset. Superman has been exposed to all the things our ranch brings. Including kids, dogs, equipment and general chaos. This gentle gelding has all the chrome you could ask for with four white socks, a beautiful blaze face and snow white main and tail. Our little ones can take him for a walk, load him in the trailer, groom and bath him. He stands 15h and is 13 years old. This big teddy bear has a good handle in the arena with a floaty comfortable jog and slow rocking horse lope. Down the trails he walks out with joy in a group or out alone. On uneven ground he is careful with his foot placement. He crosses water, downfall and bridges with ease. On a warm sunny day we take Superman into town to get our favorite ice cream. When the work needs done Superman is more than happy to get the cattle gathered up and loaded out. Perfect all around family gelding that saddles up safe and gentle. FMI call Casey (406)897-4717

2019 AQHA Palomino Gelding

Affectionately known around the barn as Martin. He is definitely a favorite and the one everyone want to see, and we all enjoy riding. He doesn’t just check all the boxes he is the new standard when it comes to an all-around gelding on our ranch. He is 6 years old, and he is a solid and seasoned ranch horse, honest trail horse and he wants to be your best friend. Anyone can ride him from big to small or young to old he’s safe for them all. Out on the ranch Martin is as handy as a pocket on your shirt. He has seen and experienced all the ranch chores. Doctoring wheat cattle, big gatherings, sorting in the pens, loading trucks, you name it he has done it all. He has amazing cow sense and is quick on his feet when sorting but he will stand patiently and wait while you get a head count as well. He is honest and dependable and has always been safe. Down the trail he is easily guided with one hand on a loose rein. He will go up, down, through and over just about anything you point him at. He is good with his feet in steep terrain. He has a smooth steady walk that is comfortable to sit all day. He has seen tons of miles and isn’t a stranger to brush or tall grass. Martin is eager to please and happy doing whatever you want on any given day. We have ridden him by the highway with cars and semis flying by at 70mph. We have ridden Martin through trail obstacles from down logs, over rocks, through thick brush and he crosses water. In the arena he can be guided with one hand or two whichever you prefer. He can Walk, Trot, Canter with simple cues. He has a smooth jog and an easy rocking chair lope. He has the experience of a ranch horse and we have him guiding around with the feel of a reiner. He can lead departure on either lead. Lope slow or fast circles and speed transitions very smooth. He can run fast or go slow and stay levelheaded about it all. Martin has a big stop and can really get his butt down on whoa. Martin has been ridden by our 4-year-old son “Stetson” in lead line on the ranch and he can ride him by himself in the arena. We feel he is safe and confident enough for younger or inexperienced riders. We have exposed Martin to pretty much everything you can think of. He is good with it all. Tarps and ropes all over him, spinning the jolly ball around him, pushing the big soccer ball across the arena and even cracking the bull whip. Gotta go get the mail and it’s raining, not a problem. Martin has been umbrella broke to keep your mail dry. On a windy day when your significant other tells you to go fly a kite. Well…. Martin can help you fly a kite because we have done that with him too. He has been around all the equipment and the commotion of the ranch from the skid steer at feeding time or the 4wheelers zooming around and the kids and their bikes and toys. Martin has been a pleasure to train and teach things too. We have always enjoyed time with him, and he sure does leave you with a smile when you’re all done for the day. I have run the leaf blower around him and from his back. He has been exposed from us to gunfire and handles it well without issues and could excel in the mounted shooting. Do you want to go out on an overnight camping trip, we have trained Martin to a highline. This is a very well-rounded gelding that has exceeded our expectations and one that has created new standards for our program. I can go on and on about him because we love this young gelding and know you will too. Martin is current on his worming, vaccinations, shoes and he is currently insured through Markel and ready for his next adventure and partner.
