Good help is hard to find! So when you find it, you take advantage!!! Kinsey and I are happy to serve the community around us as well as our out of town customers.

We are taking on a handful of new clients for body clipping. Professional, quick, instant show-ready results. Large show barns, retirees, Cushings, etc can be accommodated and made more comfortable.

Travel will require several horses.
Singles can be scheduled in the Tryon, Spartanburg, Columbus (and surrounding) areas. Please reach out directly for a consult or to get on the schedule.

We have a heavy braiding load as well - please keep this into consideration when scheduling. Thank you! Happy clipping!

🌟 Did you know? 🌟

Horses do NOT grow hair according to temperature! Horses grow hair according to daylight. Shorter days tell them to start preparing for colder weather - but guess what? The days are still HOT! Horses in full work suffer greatly in the fall due to rapid hair growth without the relief of cooler weather! Aside from those in full work, those with medical issues who might struggle to regulate their own temperature or hair growth, need assistance as well. If you are considering or on the fence about clipping your horse, whether you use myself and my team at Armour Equine Services or another professional, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have. It is a tough time of year for everyone and we are here to provide comfort to our equine friends and knowledge to our human friends!

Call me weird, but I invented a mane pulling glove. I don’t use a comb to pull hair out, I use my fingers. So when I pull, I have to tape my fingers to prevent cutting my fingers, blisters, and to gain a little more grip. When clipping, I hate taping my fingers because the hair splinters are even worse after a day of clipping/pulling manes. I can easily put on this glove, I have the grip on the fingers I use to pull, and I can feel the hair I grab with my two naked fingers. Total game changer and my hands are so appreciative!

What a special week it was!

🌟 Getting contacted by the Head Coach of the University of South Carolina’s Equestrian Team asking to braid for the SEC Championship was something I marked off my bucket list without even realizing it was even on the list. Who knew it would even be possible? The teams included USC, TAMU, UGA, and AU. Being behind the scenes at this event was a one of a kind experience and it was an absolute honor to be considered. Thank you, Boo Major for trusting this start-struck kid 🤩!

Ended the weekend with finally being on my home turf. It was nice to be back at TIEC. The real MVP is my husband Trey Gramling for the constant support, help, and willingness to jump in head first without question or complaint.

What is the saying? A painters house always needs painting?
Well, the clippers horses always need clipping. They are enjoying life being fuzzy and wild ❤️ Fun fact - we have 2 trail horses and 3 minis! Moonshine, Trigger, Bugsy, Peaches, and Biscuit. Featured here is Biscuit.
I spent so much time taking care of 6+ figure horses that I wanted something rough and tough. Trey and I found Moonshine and Trigger and they are the best horses for us. The minis are my personal addiction (thankfully it’s not as serious as the plant addiction). Maybe one day we will start riding again!

A huge heart felt Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from us at Armour Equine. This has been a record year and I am beyond grateful for amazing clients and amazing equine friends. I wouldn’t have been able to survive without such a selfless, supportive, and hardworking group that have become my best friends.

Thank you for all of the the trust all of you continue to put in me to get your horses looking and feeling their best. I truly love my profession and I am so lucky to be able to do what I love everyday.

I am thinking of all trainers, riders, owners, and grooms that are having to brave the weather to take care of our beloved creatures. Our industry would be nothing without all of you. Lots to get done before the new year, but I appreciate everyone postponing their clips until after this cold snap passes. I love you all!
