The medical team at The Pet Hospital is aware of recent online reports and the FDA's notification concerning adverse events associated with Librela, an osteoarthritis treatment for dogs.

We take these reports seriously and prioritize patient safety, continuing to monitor for and report adverse events.

If you have concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. For further information, please refer to the article below from the American Animal Hospital Association.

⭐PET SAFETY TIPS⭐
🎄Ornaments: Keep breakable and food-based ornaments out of reach to prevent injuries and blockages. Tinsel & Ribbons: These tempting decorations can cause choking or blockages if swallowed. Christmas Trees: Secure your tree to prevent tipping from curious climbers! Lights & Cords: Chewed cords can lead to burns—keep cords out of reach. Candles: Never leave pets alone around lit candles. Holiday Plants: Poinsettias, mistletoe, and more can be toxic to pets. Check the ASPCA’s list for pet-safe plants.🎄

Enjoy the holidays safely with your pets!

⭐HOLIDAY PET SAFETY TIPS⭐
1. Holiday gift shopping for your pets? Make sure to choose safe toys! Look for durable, non-toxic materials, avoid small parts that could be swallowed, and pick the right size to prevent choking. Plush toys should have reinforced stitching, and if your pet loves to chew, opt for toys designed specifically for tough play. Giving safe toys means happy, healthy holiday fun for all!

2. Keep your holidays merry and safe with these pet-friendly tips! Nothing ruins holiday cheer like an emergency vet visit, so stay mindful of potential risks for your furry friends.
Keep people food out of reach, and ask guests to do the same

· Watch out for treats with toxic ingredients like chocolate, xylitol, grapes, onions, or raisins.

· Don’t leave pets alone with lit candles, a decorated tree, or potpourri.

· Place holiday plants (holly, mistletoe, lilies) safely out of reach.

· Skip the tinsel if you have cats—it’s safer!

· Secure your Christmas tree, and try lemon-scented air fresheners to keep cats away.

· Provide a calm retreat for pets if the holiday hustle gets overwhelming.

⭐🎄With these tips, you and your pets can enjoy a joyful and safe holiday season!⭐🎄

3. Keep your pets safe this holiday season! Holiday plants, lights, and decorations add festive cheer but can also pose risks for our furry friends:

🎄🐾Happy National Poinsettia Day! Poinsettias are a beautiful holiday decoration, but did you know they can be mildly toxic to pets? While not as dangerous as some believe, they can still cause upset tummies and irritation if ingested by your furry friends.

To keep your pets safe:
⭐Place poinsettias out of reach.
⭐ Opt for pet-friendly holiday plants like Christmas cactus or roses.
⭐Call us if you notice your pet showing unusual symptoms.

🎄🐾Let’s keep your holidays merry and bright—and your pets happy and healthy!🎄🐾

🎄🐾 Tis the Season!! We have put up our Christmas Tree and have added our annual giving box. Every year we accept donations for Hood County Animal Control. You will notice we have added Paw Print ornaments that have donation suggestions on the back. You are welcome to look or take an ornament. We just ask that you return the ornament with your donation so that we can put it back on the tree next year. We have the best clients and patients and we love that we are able to pay it forward!!
