🌾 Winter Feed Planning: Your Guide to Smart Hay Storage

Don't let winter weather disrupt your feeding routine! Being prepared isn't just about having enough - it's about having quality hay stored properly and easily accessible when storms hit. Here's your winter hay checklist:

- Store 10-15% more than your calculated needs
- Keep hay elevated and covered
- Check moisture levels regularly
- Ensure easy access during storms
- Rotate stock to maintain freshness
- Store in multiple locations if possible

Remember: Winter storms can last longer than expected, and transportation delays are common. Having an extra supply isn't just convenient—it's essential for your animals' well-being!

❄️ Winter Hoof Management

Those "snowballs" in your horse's hooves aren't just a minor nuisance - they're a serious winter safety concern! Beyond regular picking, watch for signs of thrush, maintain consistent farrier care, and consider winter shoeing options like snow pads. Your farrier can help create the perfect winter hoof care plan for your horse's specific needs.
