Hurricane Helene Relief for Western NC

*Attention SC and NC veterans and able bodied volunteers *
WE'VE GOT A COUPLE OF SEATS OPEN IF SOMEONE WANTS TO GO AND DOESN'T WANT TO DRIVE. All you need is sleep gear and food. I'm taking a MGPTM so there's room in the tent.
A group of Texas veterans will be leaving from Fort Worth @ 0400 on Sunday morning and will meet in Greenville TX @ 0600. From there we will drive down I-20 to Atlanta GA, I-85 to Greenville SC and then make a left turn to try to make an impact in the devastated communities of Western NC. If anyone would like to join us along the route, we will gladly meet you to join the convoy. Distribution of supplies, clearing roads and possible search and recovery will be the main focus. It will be boots on the ground. Copious amounts of walking/hiking. Extensive use of saws, shovels, sweat and tears. There is a good possibility that this WILL NOT be for the faint at heart. I am not trying to scare anyone off, but I also don’t want to sell sorting pallets of water and we end up digging up remains. Don’t expect to shower for a few days. It will be in the 30’s and 40’s at night and we will likely be pitching tents. We do have a large GP tent, but you may want to bring one with you. Meals may not be provided, but a camping stove will be present. If you don’t bring it, you may not have it!

For the record: This is an event with veterans helping a community in need. This is NOT an Irreverent Warriors sanctioned event!! You will be on your own insurance if something unfortunate were to happen to you.
