Country Pup is a dog daycare thatโs mission is to meet your dogs physical and mental exercise needs! We are putting a spin on your classic doggie daycare.

What does a day with us look like for your pup? There are four main things we will do with your dog everyday.
1. Supervised play groups: this will allow dogs the opportunity to socialize with other friendly dogs while also learning and practicing polite play etiquette.
2. Group hikes: it is so important physically and mentally for dogs to get out in nature; each day your dog will receive at le
ast one 45 minute group hike on our miles of surrounding trails.
3. Enrichment activities: often, people forget just how important mental stimulation is for dogs as well. We often think as long as they get to run and play that they will be happy but that isnโt all true! Dogs need to be challenged mentally as well. During the day with us, dogs will each receive one enrichment activity; this can include things like, puzzle toys, snuffle mats, frozen stuffed kongs, snoops, and many more. This will help ensure we are sending home mentally happy dogs.
4. Basic obedience: while with us your dogs will practice basic obedience cues. Some cues that will be reinforced will be; sit, down, door boundaries, four feet on the floor, and recalls.

Country pup is taking a pause. We have sold our house and will be building up in Whately. We are hoping to be in by next spring early summer! We hope to see some familiar faces when we get back up and running. I will miss all these adorable faces ๐ฅฐ
We are so excited for our little boy that will be arriving in November!
I will be on maternity leave starting end of October through end of January early February. Existing clients have already been notified!
I will miss all the pups and looking forward to seeing everyone in the new year!

Today we welcomed a new friend Gracie! We are happy to have her join our pack, she is fitting in great with our Wednesday crew. ๐
Itโs hunting season! Itโs important to make sure your dogs have on bright colors for their safety! You could use a hunting vest or a bright coat! Not only does it make sure your dog is not mistaken for a wild animal but it also makes it easier to see them as they run through the woods! I also use bells on some of my dogs as well. Most dogs go to doggie daycares to play and socialize! But another very important skill is to be able to just hangout! Constant play is not healthy either. Helping to facilitate an environment where dogs take breaks and relax and smell around is what we strive for!
Brings me so much joy to get to walk 5 client dogs all off leash together! We work hard on long line skills and recalls so that every dog is prepared to be off leash! Such a happy calm pack on their sniffy walk through the woods.

As a multi pet house-hold along with always having dogs staying with us, patience,impulse control and manners when it comes to meal time is very important!
