Fall in Love, with a GDO Great Dane

When autumn sighs through crimson trees, And gold drifts softly on the breeze,
Two Great Danes bound through fields of flame,
Each leaf a trophy, each gust a game.

Their paws drum rhythms on the ground,
A thunderous joy, a heart-deep sound,
While maple crowns and amber rain
Crown every step these nobles reign.

Their coats, like dusk, in twilight gleam,
Eyes bright with some old loyal dream,
Of chasing wind, of guarding hearth,
Of filling fall with mighty mirth.

As daylight fades, they slow their run,
Their breath like fog beneath the sun,
Then press their warmth against your knee—
A gentle giant’s loyalty.

For when the chill of autumn bites,
And fires glow on pumpkin nights,
No sweeter peace the heart sustains,
