*Breeder Transparency*
A look into what I'm currently dealing with, for those who follow closely.

Until further notice I'm putting a pause on all deposits/adoptions for the Harleys.
The Harley females aren't doing great lactating the bigger the beans get. I've fostered 5 babies to my carrier mom, and I've lost a couple babies from both Petal and Orchids litters.
Both Harley moms seem to have issues with milk supply and scabby ni***es, my carrier female is doing lovely tho with hers and her 5 foster babies from Petal. And petals remaining 4 I left with her seem to be doing well now that they can rotate ni***es.

But for the safety of all adopters, I'm not comfortable adopting these beans out until they are much older and out of harms way. Those of you with prepaid deposits will obviously have pick of litter on the babies you wanted when they are of age and I know everyone is doing well.
So with that being said Petal and Orchids litters are being monitored Heavily and I'm doing checks every couple hours.

If for any reason these moms do not have what you are wanting when all is said and done, I do have 2 other moms expecting that are NOT the Harley line and I don't foresee any problems with lactating or otherwise with them. They're my silvermane and velveteen line.

As a breeder losing babies is never ever easy, especially a line that's so new and still being worked on, but getting from other breeders you never truly know what may pop up, how they'll do in new environments or when adding new genetics how the litters will turn out.

I never thought I'd have 3 moms out of 6 at one time with lactation problems. But I'm thankful I had some standards paired up as well as a back up. 💔

I believe Calla's litter is a failure to thrive litter or they went to long without milk. There is 4 remaining, but 2 look like they won't make it.
This is the ugly side to breeding and sadly it can happen. Keeping fingers crossed that at least the 2 healthy beans make it and I can preserve her line. 🤞🏼
Everyone keep us in your thoughts, this breeding round has been tough, but we still have a lot of little beans to watch grow. 🖤

Okay I'm opening deposits for the little guys. I have multiple little lads looking for mischiefs! I have 15 spots currently!

All little ladies are on hold until prepaid deposits pick their beans!

Well this is a fun update. 🤣
I went to check on all of the babies and found another momma in the middle of delivering.

Tulip x Atlas beans!
Tulip is a gorgeous agouti harley blazed face! She is such a doll, I can't wait to see what she has!!

Also you guys better be ready for some super cute little Harley nuggets. Lots of these babies will be looking for mischiefs!
If you ever wanted a Harley now is the time!

Bean count update, they have 6 little guys and 7 little ladies. 🖤
I'm seeing some variety and crazy colors on them already! Super happy!

*Orchid x Atlas*
Still 12 beans after the lost baby.
I haven't recounted yet since I just put more babies with her to foster (Cala beans), once I confirm milk bands I'll check all of her beans genders.
All are BLACK HARLEY or Velveteen. None are standard. Some do have head stamps! 😍
Yes I know 12 babies was already a lot for Orchid but she has a great milk supply so I was going to try.

*Pansy x Lupin*
All of Pansy's beans are doing wonderful, she has 5 blacks and 3 russian blues. And she is still doing amazing with her foster babies (Cameilla's beans) which are so precious and can already tell they'll be very nakie. 🤣

I'll update again in a day or so when it's no longer frozen outside and I can handle everyone a little more.
We live in South Alabama and just got 8 inches of snow. 🙃
Right now my main focus is keeping all beans nice and warm and making sure the newest get milk in their bellies asap!

*Update*
Cala sadly isn't making any milk, she's had litters before with no problem, but maybe age is playing a factor. I'll be trying to foster a couple babies to Orchid and maybe Petal. Pray for us. 😭
We already lost one.
7 are left, only one had a milk band and that's because he was under Pansy. But Pansy is already fostering Cameillas litter and doesn't have enough to go around for 7 more.
I'll keep everyone updated. 🥺
