Luna! We get asked a lot about when to start puppy training!? 8 weeks is the earliest we will see dogs for obvious reasons. But we can say w confidence 8-16 weeks for puppies is a crucial period and you should seek advice and training w them! No, we don’t focus on obedience. We focus on play, seeing the world, socialization, some marking of behaviors, crate and potty time, management and boundaries, and a little bit of leash/collar work!
And please manage your children before your puppy! 🐶

Colt… brought home few months ago from a shelter, living his best life….Oooooo he knows place too! We are pretty goal oriented here at J&S! Point behind this post, Colt loves to play, has off-leash freedom and isn’t required to do much but enjoy being a dog! Kyle came to us concerned about Colt’s nerves and thought he was a little aggressive.

Evaluation for what the owners were “told” was a highly reactive and aggressive pitbull. Rescue pup that's only been in the new home for 1 week. Patience and lots of play/tug on the schedule for this awesome pup.

Reactivity can in many cases be cleared up quick!! Ms. Lilac worked w us through 6 sessions, really only 2 were dedicated to her going off or after other dogs!
