Puppies! Luna completed the first leg of her training. The biggest lesson is seeing the world! We don’t need a fearful Cane Corso in a few months we need a confident one. She is doing excellent at the vets and accepting her shots and exams! Meeting new people but not over doing it. Understanding her leash when necessary. This short clip of her was letting her explore have some freedom, but also finding Jessica! We knew it was safe to do so, this came toward the end of the session when we knew the coast was clear. We will start her obedience and marker training in another month!

I asked Lexi to start adding rules to her play… we removed 2 balls from chuck it, and started asking Bauser to bring the ball all the way to her! Might seem simple but old habits are hard to break! Nice work you 2! Do u have objectives when you play? Are there any rules?

Rules
Objectives to play and rules to the game. Bauser is a 1.5 GSD Alexis Godfrey took in w a big bite history. We did an eval several months ago but he was outta my wheel house. Lexi also had a lot of work to do. Recommendations were given on long line walks w freedom, play, less obedience. No Ecollar sh*t he’d been fried already. Lexi has stayed in touch and worked hard. Some fundamental things were obvious basically Bauser was training her! 😏

Leash pressure w George
George is deaf. He’s learning some basic leash pressure drills and to find his handlers eyes! I’ve mentioned in previous post that he also chases shadows and light reflections. Much of that behavior was greatly diminished during this lesson because of his engagement.
Chase!
Got the opportunity to cut loose a couple of stable puppies Saturday! The game of chase w your dog especially as a puppy is huge! Don’t be boring, come alive, be the rabbit!
J&S K9 is an excellent opportunity to work with an experienced canine handler.
