Okay everyone. I have struggled with my wording for this for a while now, but here goes. I will unfortunately not be reopening my shop after my absence while helping my mother. Having this time off with her has really made me more aware of how severe the pain in my hands has really become. I simply cannot do the job to the best of my ability any longer and I am not willing to put my name on sub par work. I am unsure of what this means for me in the future, but I know myself and my family will be alright. Change is scary but I know something better will come along as itโ€™s meant to. I cannot express how much it has meant to me to have had the support of so many amazing people and clients over these last five years, and it feels good to at least be going out on a high. I am so grateful to each and every one of you who has given me the opportunity to get to know you and your pets. I am hopeful that maybe one day I can finally address the pain in my hands and perhaps reopen on a smaller scale. Until then, I will continue to be thankful for every little memory Snippany & Co. has brought me. I will continue to work through individual emails to make sure everyone is aware of my sudden closure. Be advised that this does mean that all appointments going forward are canceled. I apologize for this inconvenience, but I have to prioritize my own health and that of my family members at this time. Thank you again so much, I am more than happy to make recommendations and pass on any notes to future groomers for any of my clients. Please reach out via email if you have any further questions. ๐Ÿ–ค

Hello everyone. I know many of you have left voicemails and sent emails. I have not been to the shop to return calls and I only just opened my email today. I will begin getting back to everyone but please be patient as there are quite a few to work through. I have not been back to work yet as I have been helping my mother as she transfers to a rehab facility. Thank you to all of my wonderful clients for being understanding and patient during this extremely difficult period of my life, I canโ€™t tell you how much I appreciate it. If you have emailed and are waiting for a response, I should finish working through them all throughout the weekend. If you have left voicemails, please send an email instead as I am unsure when I will have time to go to the shop to return them all. Thank you again for your continued support ๐Ÿ–ค

I just wanted to post an update for those who donโ€™t know. My mother has been hospitalized for some time now and went in for a difficult surgery and there were complications. I have been in the ICU with her on life support all night and will be staying bedside until we know more. Todays appointments have been contacted and I anticipate having to contact tomorrows appointments as well. I apologize for any inconvenience or upset to grooming schedules but I need to prioritize my time with my mother right now as her condition is constantly changing. Thank you to all of my clients for your continued patience and understanding during this extremely difficult time in my life. Rest assured your appointments will be rescheduled for a later date however I am not able to guarantee how soon that reschedule date will be as I am unsure how long I will be staying in the ICU. I will not be responding to emails during my time at the hospital. Thank you again.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding with my current situation of recovery from my recent surgery. All voicemails and initial emails have been returned! Email is going to be the primary correspondence until the first week of June when I am back at work. In the meantime, I have begun taking pre-payments for grooms scheduled in June to help make ends meet during the last minute time off Iโ€™ve had to take. If you would like to pre-pay for your June appointment, please shoot me an email and we can always charge the card on file, or if you would prefer another form of payment, I will be able to take payment over the phone as well. Thank you so much to my amazing clients for their incredible kindness and support at this time. I couldnโ€™t do this job if it werenโ€™t for all of you ๐Ÿ–ค have a wonderful day!

Hello everyone!

For those of you still waiting on returned voicemails and missed calls, please be patient with me as I have been out of the shop since April 25th for my carpal tunnel surgery. I have just finished returning emails and will finally be able to get to the shop tomorrow to begin returning voicemails and calls. It has been difficult to keep up with correspondence only having one hand as of right now and no way to get to the shop to get to my phone but rest assured I should be able to get back to everyone by tomorrow evening. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding while I navigate through all of this ๐Ÿ–ค

Science Saturday!

A little PSA as I keep seeing these recommended on social media by influencers and in groups.

Do you have a furminator?

Throw it in the bin.๐Ÿ—‘ ๐Ÿšฎ

"But I get so much hair out with it"

A furminator is a blade. I've attached a photo of a super short grooming blade next to the furminator blade to compare. The only reason you think it works so well and you get so much hair out is because it's actually cutting your dogs coat. It cuts the good hair, the top coat and leaves long lasting damage, you may not notice at first or ever but its definitely doing the damage and your pups coat will begin to get shorter and shorter, becoming more sparse.

I've not once, nor will I ever use a furminator on a clients dog and 100% do not recommend them. They belong in the bin.

Copied from another**

PS - if you want recommendations for your particular pet feel free to ask! I'll gladly help assist (even if you're not a client)

Hello friends and clients! I have a few updates that Iโ€™ll be posting throughout the weekend but Iโ€™d like to first address the issue of no shows and last minute cancellations. I have had a massive increase in these incidents throughout the last month or so as many small businesses do around the holidays. We understand that things come up and family is in town but please remember that those of us who own small businesses do not make a salary or hourly wage. If you book an appointment and donโ€™t show up or cancel at the last minute, it is often the case that we cannot fill that appointment and must go without pay. This is a massive loss for those of us who rely on our small business to pay our bills and feed our families. I have been lax with my policy of charging for no shows or last minute cancellations in the past but I can no longer afford to do so. In the policy agreement signed by all clients, it is stated that the first no show requires you to pay 50% of the missed service and after a second no show, you will be charged 100% if the missed service and will be required to pre pay all future appointments. The same policy stands for cancellations in less than 24 hours as it is often difficult to fill that spot on short notice. This will also be the case if you show up to your appointment without required up to date vaccinations. I have been lenient with that as well as I try to be understanding but I have over 800 pets in my system and cannot be expected to remind every person every day to make sure your pets are up to date. This is your responsibility as a pet owner. If you arrive to your appointment and your pets vaccinations are expired, you will be charged accordingly. Please understand that this is the same as if you were to show up for a days work and your boss tells you when you arrive that you will not be compensated for your days work. Iโ€™ve been more lenient than I should have been but I need to be stricter with my policies for my own sake. Thank you to my amazing clients for understanding and making my career worth while. ๐Ÿ–ค
