I am so excited witnessing the talent of our up and coming British lab pups (9, Black and Yellows). They have awesome temperaments, great field talent, and are so biddable. Check out Trevor who is good retrieving hats so far. (Ha)

Drake (Golden Retriever) in for training does great on his first water retrieve of an actual duck launched from a remote-controlled Winger. The set simulates wing shooting. For a pup: 1) bold water entry, 2) smooth, strong water swimmer, 3) firm but gentle hold of the bird, 4) great delivery.

The young English springer spaniel, Coach, quartering nicely in partnership with the handler, staying in close range and covering ground side-to-side, find and flushes a chucker. Nicely makes the mark and delivery.

Whisky putting the upland set all together. Quartering, responding to whistle signals, finding and flushing the bird, marking and running down the shot bird, and making the retrieve.

Jig's first shot bird via a 12 gauge. Doing very well in his training program.

Record-wet fall might lead to prime duck hunting in North Dakota https://www.newsbreakapp.com/n/0POpTsIU?s=a4&pd=00gco0Nz

Record-setting wet conditions hampered hunters in North Dakota last fall but might have set the stage for prime duck hunting this fall. An annual spring survey by the North Dakota Game and Fish Department estimates 3.98 million breeding ducks in the state.

The weather has finally broke here in the Dakota's. The snow has melted and the training fields are open. We have a bunch of great pups in for training. Life is good!
The ajoining video is our wonderful British Lab, Tonka running down a shot chucker. So much fun to see him work. Video shot from our drone.
