Door prizes and workshops and cake, oh my! The Lincoln Lacemakers enjoyed a delightful Day Retreat at Valhalla Bee and Lace Supplies. Thanks to the teachers who led mini workshops in tatting, bobbin lace, and crochet lace. Plenty of good food all day long. Best of all was the congenial company!

Lincoln Lacemakers meet tonight, Tuesday, Oct 1! Gather for shopping and visiting starting from 6:00pm. The business meeting will begin around 7:00pm. We will reviewing plans for Lace Making Day Retreat on Saturday, Oct 12. Tonight’s meeting and the retreat will both be held at Valhalla Bee and Lace Supplies.

Online entry registrations for state fair are due by midnight Tuesday, Aug 6: statefair.org

Our monthly meeting will be Tuesday, Aug 13 at 6:00pm since Valhalla Bee and Lace Supplies is closed this week. Please bring all your State Fair entries on Aug 13 for Jane to deliver to the fair.

Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island Nebraska. 11 day fair with indoor and outdoor concert venues, cattle, equine, swine, sheep, goat shows, and carnival rides.

Lincoln Lacemakers will meet this week on Tuesday, July 9 at Valhalla Bee and Lace Supplies. We will start gathering at 6:00p.m. for visiting, shopping, lace making. The guild meeting will begin about 7:00p.m. We are looking forward to hearing about last week’s IOLI convention.

International Tatting Day is Monday, April 1. Lacemakers around the world observe this holiday by tatting in public and eating chocolate. Make your plans now for the upcoming observance.

Lacemakers of all kinds of lace are invited to attend the monthly gathering of the Lincoln Lacemakers on Tuesday, April 2. We meet at Valhalla Bee & Lace Supplies starting at 6:00pm with our meeting beginning at 7:00pm. If you wish to participate in the April lace exchange bring a hand-made Spring-themed lace item for the swap. Some possibilities are flowers, butterflies, eggs, rabbits, lambs, etc. All are welcome!
