Grooming spots open for today and tomorrow 11/4 and 11/5 at Island Pet Resort. We had a large group of dogs scheduled for today and tomorrow that had to reschedule so we have spots open, if your dog needs groomed please give us a call (308)675-0439 must be current on at least Rabies Vaccination

This is not a pleasant or fun post but it must be said. WE WILL NOT GROOM A DOG THAT IS OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE A RABIES VACCINATION, THAT DOES NOT HAVE THAT VACCINATION. Had someone get very upset with us this morning about this issue and I have no doubt we will receive a review about it.
But it is not only for our safety, it is for your dogs. Iv been bitten in the past (badly requiring stitching, by a 5lb Chihuahua) the dog had to be quarantined, then the owner couldn’t get the dog out of quarantine and the dog was euthanized. I refuse to go through a situation like that again. Getting bit happens, sometimes it’s bad sometimes it’s not, as long as the dog is vaccinated it’s not a big deal

ISO grooming dogs for a Groomer in training. Kayla has been in groomer training with us at Island Pet Resort for about 6 weeks and is ready to take on a few clients of her own.
So here is what we are looking for; Baths, Desheds, and easy short haircuts. Kayla will be under guided supervision at all times and all grooms will be checked over by IPRs head groomer. Dogs will need to be well behaved and patient, no excessively matted dogs at this time please.

As we head into the month of December and Christmas 🎄 approaches, many of you bless us with wonderful Sweet Treats and goodies. We appreciate them greatly but this year I would ask you to please refrain from doing so, I have been advised by my Doctor to consume as little sugar as possible with my cervical cancer diagnosis since sugar can feed cancer and cause it to grow more rapidly. Most of you are aware that I have to have surgery at the beginning of the year and this is why, I’m so incredibly Thankful for all of you and the understanding I have received with this coming up
