Here’s the first time Stanley was introduced to the electronic collar for obedience! We’ve laid foundational work last week
of pairing the vibrate function and attention, now we’re showing Stanley how to turn off the electronic pressure for a recall!
Charging the mark! Ashley is charging the mark with Stanley. The caveat here is that Stanley is deaf. His first few days here we’ll be using the remote collar to vibrate, pairing that with attention, then the double nod which means “yes”, followed by reward.
Communication is key in dog training; the tools we have at our disposal are incredibly important in the continued success and safety of dogs.

Walter struggles with reactivity. With some rules, structure, a little dog training magic, and we have a Walter using his brain and trusting us that we’re not going to let anything happen to him!
So excited to share the trailer for our first instructional video!
The Art of Walking!
This video will detail how we start dogs from square one with no leash skills all the way to their perfect heel.
Full of exercises, tips, unedited footage so you can see the everything!
Working out a few more details, but this should be available for purchase within the next few weeks!
Odin has been putting in the work!
Here’s a little counter conditioning for your Wednesday afternoon. Maybelle had some pretty poor experiences with a prong collar; as can be seen when the prong is placed around her neck, she tightens up and starts to panic. She also has issues with being overly aroused and running away from her handler when the prong is visible. Here we are using a static position (place) to keep Maybelle steady, and just placing the collar around her neck, followed by a reward of broccoli! It’s time for this little lady to start having some positive associations!
Major breakthrough with Benji!! Slowly earning this young dudes trust. Benji hung out while I tried my hand at baking some cream puffs. (yeah, I’m an amateur baker) Benji took some of the pastry mix straight from my hand. Slow and steady.
Today marks two years in business. Thank you everyone for your support. It means the world to me. There have been ups and downs; struggles galore; but I wouldn’t give up what I do for anything in the world.
A short clip of Aria’s first E. Collar session. This session is all about teaching her how to turn off the stimulation. As you can see, she’s having a blast!
The beginnings of the place command. Pretty uneventful video, right? Well, not exactly. You can see how nervous Axle is about touching the board and even moving towards me. However, he did, and also, took some food. Slow and steady.
