**UPDATE: FOSTER FOUND ❤️**
Temporary Foster Needed!
Everest, a 10 month old husky who came to us in very rough shape, needs a temporary foster Feb 12-21 while his current fosters are out of town. They will take him back upon their return. Fosters tell us that Everest gets along nicely with dogs and humans. He is extremely sweet and loves to cuddle. He has also been around kids ages 6-10. He struggles with being in a kennel due to previous negative experiences - he will cry/wail while in there. Would be best if he did not need to be in kennel for very long. Everest does well with potty training as long as he is let out every few hours. He is extremely skinny and is being fed quality puppy food three times daily at this time. Due to Everest’s fear of kennels and crates, we would love to find a temporary foster home instead of boarding. Please consider opening your home to this sweet puppy in need!

GRHS will pay for food, any supplies needed, and any medical care required during fostering.

Meet this week’s Celebrity pet - Rufus 🎉🐾🐈❤️
He will be featured today on 🎥

Rufus is a 4 year old neutered male, Domestic Short Haired orange and white tabby. Rufus can be a little shy, but is a super sweet boy. He enjoys people in a calm and familiar setting, but can be a little unsure about being handled unless it’s on his own terms. He will need a cozy place to feel safe in.

Rufus only has his canine teeth due to a condition called stomatitis. Stomatitis is a painful, inflammatory disease that affected his teeth. It is not contagious. Since his teeth have been pulled, Rufus has been very happy, in much less pain and learning how to be more brave everyday!

GRHS foster family is saving 5 lives! 🥹❤️🐾

A mommy dog was tied up near her four 6-week-old puppies in a box at Sherwood Park on a very, very cold early morning on 1/24/25. All of them were in extremely poor, emaciated condition and they landed at MCAS. MCAS asked GRHS to taken them in and they quickly went into a loving GRHS foster home.

For the first couple of days, the foster fought to save the only female puppy who was the smallest and weakest (she’s the fawn color with wide white face stripe). They were syringe feeding her puppy milk replacer every few hours day and night. She has just now started to turn the corner so we are very proud of the foster and their hard work.

Puppies and Mommy were separated at MCAS but GRHS reunited them in foster home. Mommy currently has no milk due to being starved but it may come back in as her nutrition improves. The bigger puppies are receiving puppy milk replacer and high quality puppy kibble mixed into a soft gruel. Mommy Honey is eating a lot of puppy kibble and gruel.

It is a miracle that these dogs are alive and starting to improve physically. Thank you to all who helped with this case and the biggest thank you to their live-saving foster. Mom and puppies will be adoptable once they are healthier, spayed/neutered, and fully vaccinated. We will keep everyone notified when they are adoptable.

He has been a big part of the Kitty Korner for a long time, but now it's time for him to go to his forever home! We will miss him so much, and we are beyond excited and thankful for his adopters!! Bye, Carlos!! 😽

He’s a fantastic walking companion—attentive, gentle, and doesn’t pull on the leash. Ziggy is house-trained and currently practicing the “quiet” command while in his crate.
