*Update: Luna and Charles have been found. I think I have my Google steps covered for the next two weeks. Tabitha and I went out to help the owner search and our daughter Brianna went out also we did witness one of the two get hit on North as they were on their adventure. Brianna found the first dog (sheperd) and we got the owner to the location and the dog was safely retrieved. It broke my heart that the one that was hit was not in sight. I walked all around checking every Bush and dark corner praying to find the dog that I was worried had found a place to lay down. I had no luck and I ended up meeting Up with Tabitha and the owner at a location It was then that I heard neighborhood dogs barking in the distance so I Said lets go that direction and we all did and just as the dog turned down a driveway I caught a glimpse. We walked the area and still could not find the dog then the owner noticed a dog in a yard but it was dark and hard to see so she told her to wiggle her butt and sure enough the dog wiggled her butt showing that it was her dog Luna. Luna and Charlie are with the owner now and Luna is going to be checked out for further vet care after being hit.
If your missing these two dogs they just set off my alarms here at RUFF Around The Edges By the time I went out they were heading west down North Avenue towards 28 3/4 road.
Unfortunately we won't be able to watch Charlotte's web this evening at Ruff due to one of the dogs that we have for adoption apparently having a problem with sheep. He barks everytime he sees a sheep.
I heard barking late in the boarding so I walked down to check on the dogs and I found out what all the commotion was about.
I finally had to change the movie to "minions" part 2.
Then everyone got a late night biscuit treat and now we can all try to sleep again.
Charlotte's web tomorrow for sure though!
Did I mention he is looking for a home😁
UPDATE: This gentleman has made it home.
This little fellow found his way to RUFF Around The Edges last night after bring found in palisade with his leash attached. If this is your dog he is safe and enjoying himself waiting to be reunited with his family. You can call us at 9704248616 or hit the message button below.
To inform everyone: please know that we will require some sort of proof that this is your dog just to be safe and make sure he gets back home. We are not lawenforcment so you will not be fined or ticketed when you pick up your dog. You don't have to be embarrassed Ive been in your shoes many times.
If the dog does stay past today he will most likely be transford over to Mesa County so that they can use their resources to try and find his owners which is protocol with all the dogs that are droped off with us. We have a short window to try and notify owners but then the dog by law has to be transford over and listed as a stray and after the stray hold has lifted of the owners did not claim the dog then they become adoptable pets that the community gets to adopt and give forever homes to.
Awesome!
When I created this video I saw myself in this dog named Max. Max is still loved and he has people that put up with his quirky behavior he has at times...
And so do I...
Thank you to those of you who never give up on us who are RUFF Around The Edges.
Our community has a happy family and a happy story for Thanksgiving this year! Kira is safe and in her families arms. Thank you for all that helped this family and the people that helped me with me being able to take the time to help them. It is snowing just in time for her to be reunited I hope she gets spoiled with healthy treats for Thanksgiving. I know that alot of you were praying and your prayers were heard. I am heading home now but I have a couple of rescues to share pictures and tell the story's for you guys. Kira is going home...
My time spent in this one was for you Lexi I sure miss you girl.
Tonight I am going to take the time share videos and talk about the latest rescue up on what I feel like is a magical ranch.
This story starts out as only one dog in need of rescue but something else happened up on that ranch that day that left me believing it had a deeper meaning.
Stay Tuned!
