🌨️ Cold Weather Safety Tips for Your Dog! 🐾

🥶Hey West Michigan friends, it’s freezing out there! ❄️ While winter adventures with your dog can be fun, it’s important to keep them safe in these extremely frigid temps. Here are a few tips to protect your pup:

1️⃣ Limit Outdoor Time – Dogs can get frostbite, especially on their paws, ears, and tails. Limit exposure as the temps drop.
2️⃣ Bundle Up – Short-haired breeds, puppies, and seniors might need a cozy coat or sweater.
3️⃣ Protect Their Paws – Use dog-safe paw balm or booties to shield their feet from snow, ice, and salt. Check for cracks or redness after walks.
4️⃣ Stay Hydrated – Cold air can be dehydrating, so make sure your dog always has access to fresh water.
5️⃣ Watch for Warning Signs – If your dog is shivering, lifting their paws, or showing signs of discomfort, it’s time to head inside.

🐕💙 Remember, if it’s too cold for you, it’s probably too cold for them! Stay safe, warm, and cozy this winter.

🐶Meet Rocco, an adorable Maltese/Havanese/Mini Poodle mix, who’s been on his training journey with us since he was a tiny puppy! We’re continuing his obedience training to set him up for success, and he’s making amazing progress. With consistent training and love, Rocco is well on his way to being a well-mannered and happy companion! 🐾💙

✨ Meet Hudson, our therapy dog in training! 🐾 Hudson is learning how to bring comfort to patients at a local dentist’s office. From easing nerves to making check-ups a little brighter, he’s already making a pawsitive impact! 🦷💙

Therapy dogs like Hudson help reduce anxiety, especially for kids or those with dental fears. With his gentle nature and sweet presence, he’s becoming a pro at turning frowns into smiles. 😁

We’re so proud of his progress and can’t wait to watch him as he continues to grow into his important role.
