INTRODUCING OUR MALE BASSET HOUND PUPPIES… that are available for adoption into LOVING & RESPONSIBLE & INFORMED New “Fur-ever” Homes.

Our Purebread Basset Hounds will be 8 weeks old on Monday! Today, these three males had their last vet visit before they go to their new families. All of our puppies are already AKC Registered and completely up-to-date on all of their age-appropriate vaccination shots. They have had their AKC and vet-recommended deworming medication treatments at 2-4 and 6 weeks, and will receive their last dose at eight weeks on Monday.

GUESS WHAT! Today, our Harris' Happy Basset Hounds 2023 Litter of 8 "Spring Beauties" are TWO(2) Weeks Old, already!

The last 14 days, which are known as our AKC-Registered Basset Hound's "Neonatal Stage"(Birth to 2 weeks) has been an incredibly exciting time for our family's Professional Kennel, which has become FULL of Puppy Love & Snuggles! Our 2023 Litter have been given temporary nicknames, after Springtime Flowers & Color-coordinating Puppy ID Collars.

Here is an overview of our "Spring Beauties" development over the last 2 weeks...

🐾1.🐾Being able to taste and sense their surroundings through touch has been present since the moment our Basset Hound puppies were born. Their amazing Mother, our 4-year old, Purebred Female, Ms. Dottie Sue, has a great influence over her puppies, as she has been lovingly feeding them her milk, and tenderly keeping them warm and clean.🐾🐾

🐾2.🐾Crawling is the only way they move here and there. They do roll around with each other and "crawl" from 1 end of their Whelping Box to the other, as they sniff out and feel around for each other & their warm Mother.🐾🐾

🐾3.🐾Our Puppy's Mother’s milk is extremely vital to feed the puppies as nothing is as healthy, nutritious, or perfectly-formulated as their Mother’s milk.

🐾4.🐾By the end of this Week/Stage, all of our sweet Fur-baby's ears and eyes will be fully open, and they will begin walking.

The next Developmental Stage, that we are excitedly waiting for is called their
"Transitional Stage"(Two to four weeks.) Their 3rd week of the life will bring even more exciting changes in our QUICKLY-growing Basset Hound puppies as their teeth begin to appear and their eyes become stronger and fully open making their vision more clear so they can explore their environment and each other more. Likewise, their senses of smell and hearing develop in the puppies and they start to walk around more, as their leg muscles strengthen. In this Stage, our "Spring Beauties" will discover how to wag their tails and bark.

Their eyesight will continue to become well-developed by either the completion of 4 weeks or beginning of the 5th week. Throughout this Stage, as the pups start interacting with their environment and playing with each other, they will learn a bit of socializing skills.
