Lots of folks on here inquiring about multiples of the same s*x. And lots of folks don’t know about the frequency that same s*x aggression (SSA) happens within our breed.

Here’s the thing- if you think about their original purpose, Dobermans were never designed to play well with others- their terrier foundation probably predestined our modern ancestors to that fate. They worked solo with their human- they didn’t patrol in packs, or hunt with other dogs.

Cue the people who profess their dog has never had a cross rumble, let alone thought, their dogs happy attendees to those disease-infested fight clubs called dog parks, they happily share their homes with 25 other same s*xed Doberman, and that is all fantastic…. until it isn’t. Everything was fine, until it wasn’t, and then nothing is the same ever again.

Many folks are unpreparedared to manage two dogs that want each other unalive; this means constant separation and rotation 24/7, 365.

28 years in the breed, and these three girls are a big challenge; I’m especially sensitive to their dynamic, and I preemptively rotate and separate to keep tensions at a minimum.; it is a matter of constant diligence and communication with all people in my home.

The reality is most folks don’t want the work, and this is how Dobermans end up in shelters- a combination of a BYB who sold a same-s*x puppy to a home, and an owner who had no idea about SSA.

Do your research. Mixed, neutered s*xes work the best.

Let's talk about dew claws. Why do dogs have them? Why do we remove them? Here is some information about them and their purpose. As far as I know, only AKC suggests them to be removed for a cleaner look. Most of Europe leaves them on. I'm going to create another post with a poll. I'm interested to see if future puppy buyers prefer them or would rather see them removed.

If you are interested in one of our female puppies but have concerns about affordability, we provide several options. Our guardian home program is a mutually beneficial arrangement that allows you to receive a puppy at a reduced cost. This program enables prospective owners to create a loving environment for a puppy while supporting responsible breeding practices. Guardian homes will raise and care for the puppy, covering all general vet care and expenses during the dog's upbringing. We will take care of all health testing and breeding-related costs. When the dog is ready for breeding, she will come to stay with us to whelp and care for her litter. After the pups are weaned, she will be returned to you. We offer compensation of $1,000 for each litter after the first. Once the contract is fulfilled, ownership of the dog will be transferred to the guardian.
