They got a new expanded space to play and explore. We are introducing sounds slowly this week. This is a critical socialization window, but also a potential fear period, requiring careful, positive introduction to novel experiences to build confident, well-adjusted dogs.

Puppy culture started this week. At 4 weeks old in Puppy Culture, puppies enter a "transitional" stage focused on sensory enrichment, early socialization (textures, sounds, water), and problem-solving games to build emotional resilience, while also starting to eat mush, learn bite inhibition with littermates, and develop independent elimination skills. This week involves introducing varied surfaces, sounds (like music or the vacuum), new objects, and gentle human interaction to prepare them for the world and reduce future fearfulness.

Setting our pups and their owners up for success! We start litter training them when they wean at 3 1/2 weeks old. They learn quickly where to potty. It takes work on our end to be diligent about setting up the area correctly and being here every time they wake up to put them in the correct spot, but it pays off! Our puppy's potty train very quickly when they go home and their play area stays clean.
