Update on Winnie, my former foster and train dog🥹

She is living an AMAZING life with her new owners, "sibling" dogs, and her kids. She runs and plays, has plenty of toys, and is a confident girl!

When I brought her home she was so thin we could see her spine and ribs, she was scared to even move and it took 15 minutes to get her out of the car, and she was not potty trained in the slightest despite being 5 years old.

She was such a sweet girl. I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to rehabilitate and train her, as well as find her the loving home she deserves.💞

Day and Train XANDER ☀️

Xander the doberman was so fun to work with today and I look forward to seeing him and working with him for the next few weeks!

He loved playing, tummy rubs, food, and affection. He was very a fast learner!

Today we worked on:
☀️Not jumping
☀️A calm mindset
☀️Some very mild reactivity towards men passing by
☀️ Confidence while seeing different people and hearing new noises
☀️ Obedience in a new environment and around distractions

Good afternoon!
🚨I have a big announcement. 🚨

After a lengthy and careful amount of consideration, I have decided it is best for me to cut my grooming services and focus solely on Dog training.

I deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

That being said I have decided to rebrand to better suit my goals and the purpose of my business.

"Alivia's dog training and grooming" will now be known as "KinderK9" dog training!

My goal is to create kind, and stable minded canine companions by helping dogs through their struggles, using whatever training methods best suit the dog. ❤️

Meet Ace!
Ace is my neighbor's dog, who unfortunately will be needing a new home, to no fault of of his own.

Ace is a very sweet boy, he loves to be in water and play.

He is
- male
- 7 months old
- bull mastiff mix

He gets a long with
🟢kids
🟢 cats
🟢other dogs

Ace is a puppy, and a large puppy at that. So his new family would need to be equipped to handle a large dog like him. Therefore I'd like to remind potential owners that I offer training services and packages.
Additionally, he would likely be best in a home with kids over 5-6 so he doesn't knock them over with his puppy energy.

Like a stay and train/board and train without the commitment of having your furry friend away over night for a week or more!

How it works!

🐾 buy a package that would best suit you and your dog.

🐾 pup goes on walks, learns new tricks, manners, obedience, and more after drop off on the chosen dates!

🐾 pup gets exposed to new environments and new dogs, while being monitored and taught how to follow social ques

🐾 pup gets plenty of 1 on 1 time with the trainer

🐾 one hour of "down time" to decompress halfway through the day, pack a lunch if you'd like!

🐾 Pup goes home with a copy of what we worked on each day!

If your dog struggles with confidence, whether it be anxiety or reactivity based from a lack of confidence... You CANNOT expect to work on it by bringing them somewhere and trying to force them to be ok. That is how a dogs confidence, anxiety, and reactivity get worse. That is how dogs shut down or act out.

Think about it. Where should a dog be most comfortable? At home. If you dog is not comfortable or confident in your house and is constantly pacing, barking, anxious, or shutting down... Then how can you expect them to be perfectly fine in a NEW place with new sights, smells, noises, and a lot more going on? It just doesn't work.

Confidence begins at home. Before taking your dog out of the home to work on reactivity, anxiety, or even just for a stroll, you need to make sure they are COMPLETELY comfortable and confident in your house and even the yard (if you have one.)

Now this brings us to the question of how. What can YOU do to help your dogs confidence. Every dog is different, but you can start with...
- working on new tricks or perfecting old ones so your dog feels proud of themselves and confident in their abilities.

- You can exercise them in the house or get platforms to work on climbing on and off of things confidently.

- Work on an "off switch" by "place" training or crate training your dog. This helps have a designated place of comfort rather than pacing the house making themselves anxious

- Don't let your dog stare out the window all day and bark at everything that moves. If your dog has issues with at home reactivity and barking, they shouldn't be allowed window access. Allowing them access to windows in this case, is allowing them to work themselves up waiting for something to happen to bark at. If you have a reactive dog and you do want them to still have window access, work on the confidence boosters above and correct the barking.

- If you have a yard and your dog is anxious or reactive, start close to the house, and slowly take them for short walks farther and farther from the home and eventually down the block.

Meet Winnie💖

Winnie is my first ever foster/train dog!🎉

I am beyond excited to work with her and help her be the best she can be! She is so sweet. Even Nick who used to be *slightly* prejudice against bully mixes is absolutely in love with her.

As of right now we are struggling with a bit of leash pulling, a MAJOR lack of confidence, fear towards men, and *supposedly* some food aggression. Nothing we can't work through 🥰

Winnie is also slightly underweight and only 35lb. Unfortunately she also had a litter VERY recently, so her teats are still a bit swollen. She is a lab/boxer/bully breed mix

Please keep in mind however, that I am anticipating at least a 6-8 weeks before her adoption due to her weight, training, and other factors. There will be a rehoming fee to assist in ensuring she goes to a good home and for all the training that is going into her.
