Video ✌🏻of colt starting series under saddle! Ground driving in a bridle.
Good ol’ tictac ban made me have to learn editing on a app I’m unfamiliar with. Great job not saving drafts Hanna!!🤦🏽♀️
**A couple things I forgot to mention in the audio**
This is something I would use as a warm up the times I’m ridding in a halter. Progressing expectations every time. This is a preparation to ridding in the bridle!! This would take about 10-15 minutes, then 10-15 minute ride afterwards.
Next video - softness in the bridle.

Video one of the ridding portion of a colt start!!
I know, I know, I’m a few weeks behind on getting this out. Let’s blame the holidays and frigid weather! The good news is I have the next video ready to post in a couple days to get me back on track!!🥰
**A couple things I forgot to mention in the audio**
I would repeat this same ride, with lunging or ground driving in a bridle to work then down, a couple times. The only difference would be making the circles bigger, and asking for more backing at whatever rate they are progressing at. Total working length would be around 30 minutes, with the ride time being 10-15 minutes. Set them up for success, but don’t sacrifice progress!!

Out in the “feels like -1” weather with my 3 year old. No excuses, we’ve got goals to crush 👊🏻
**Winter training videos will be posted regularly soon! Continuation of last years ground work/colt starting series, this is the riding portion!! Last years videos can be found under the colt starting album tab🥰**
Here it finally is, what I feed my horses! 🧪 🧬
My forage based, low inflammatory, almost zero grain diet for 2 performance horses and one trail horse/brood mare. One easy keeper, one normal, and one hard. All get the same basis of a diet, and total for everyone is under 200 a month!
Please keep in mind - I am feeding horses with no dietary restrictions or major health issues (yes, their diet could be a link to this 😉) that get awesome forage, 24/7 turnout, have large green pastures, and get routine maintenance & targeted exercise… so what I do might not work for you! However, it is incredibly healthy none the less.
If you need help or have questions please ask! I’m here to assist!

• Trailering issues •
Some things to keep in mind if your horse has trailering issues... what’s the root cause?
- What style trailer do you have?
- Is your trailer loud? (Aluminum is quieter than stock, closed is quieter than open, etc.)
- Is your trailer dark?
- If you don’t have dividers, is your horse getting kicked?
- Are you tying at a comfortable length for them?
- Was there an incident? (Trailering is dangerous all in all, lots of stuff can happen.)
- How is your driving?
Questions? Just ask!
Are you obsessed??
