Oftentimes, we see our cute cats twirling, but what does it mean? It can signify several things. They could be being playful, following a hunting instinct, showing excitement, or, in rare cases, it could indicate a medical issue or be caused by disorientation. However, in most cases, this is normal behavior. Always remember to monitor your cat's behavior to ensure they're in tip-top shape and not in distress. If unsure, we're here to help - call (616) 456-9212.
According to a recent American Temperament Test Society study, pit bulls pass their temperament tests 87% of the time – making them 4th out of the 122 breeds tested – meaning they're one of the most affectionate and least aggressive dogs. At just 8 weeks old, kittens reach a significant milestone, making weaning them to solid foods the most opportune time. It fosters their independence while setting the foundation for a healthy, balanced diet that ensures their growth into playful and thriving cats! Different breeds of cats mature at slightly different rates. Depending on your kitten's breed, it might take them somewhat longer to mature. Maine Coons, for example, aren't considered mature until about 3 or 4 years old. Some cats never even really outgrow their kitten phase! Looking for more fun facts about your cat? Follow us for more. Did you know that cats have excellent night vision due to a reflective layer behind their retinas called the tapetum lucidum? This layer enhances their ability to see in low light conditions. A few months ago this sweet old lady was left on our front doorstep in a carrier, no note, no identification, nothing. Dr Jen fell in love with her and decided to take her in and take care of her until she was ready for a new home.
This is Betty, she is an old lady who appears to be deaf and has Hyperthyroidism which requires daily medication, however she takes this medication easily. Betty would do best as the only cat in the home with someone who loves to snuggle!
Miss Betty is the softest little cat ever and likes to loudly tell you when she wants to be pet! She is always looking for love and affection which would make her the perfect snuggle buddy on these upcoming fall days!
If you or anyone you know is looking for a sweet old lady please give us a call!
