From 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm today, Cascade Hospital for Animals will be closed for a staff-wide education session, while Breton Village Animal Clinic will be closed from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm. CHFA and BVAC value staying up to date on the latest health information so we can continue to give your pets the high-quality care they deserve. We appreciate your understanding!

Chewy, the adorable 13-week-old Shih Tzu, had his first grooming experience with Brittney this week! Early grooming appointments are key, especially for breeds with higher grooming needs, to ensure a stress-free experience for years to come. Chewy's first session was all about keeping things simple and positive with lots of snuggles. He got a good brush out, bath and a tidy-up around those dreamy eyes! ✨🐾

Say hello to Daisy, an adorable 16-week-old Cocker Spaniel! 🐾 She came in for her puppy vaccines with Dr. Barrett and we caught this cute photo moment with Vet Assistant Kendal. We can’t wait to watch her grow—though we’d love for her to stay this little forever! 💖

Our Virtual Halloween Pet Costume Contest is back for another spooktacular year!

Rules:

🎃Photos must be submitted through Facebook messenger. Please include the name of the pet(s) in the photo and your first and last name.

👻Multiple pets can be in the photo, but please only ONE photo per person.

🎃Entries must be submitted by Saturday, October 26th at 11:59pm.

👻Votes will be tallied by how many “likes” the photo gets ON FACEBOOK.

🎃Make sure to share the post and tell your friends to "like" the photo on our page to count.

👻Voting ends Thursday, October 31st at 12:00pm. Winner will be announced shortly after.

🎃Winner will receive a $25 credit to CHFA/BVAC!

These wonderful local businesses have bins set up to collect pet food and supply donations for Grand Rapids Pit Bull Alliance Pet Food Bank and Outreach programs.

Our pet food bank and outreach programs have been supporting our community since 2017. In 2023, our non-profit organization provided 29,000 lbs of pet food to families facing financial hardships, we are on the path to exceed that number in 2024! The need is real and growing.

Grand Rapids Pit Bull Alliance is 100% supported by fundraising efforts, community support, generous donors and operated entirely by volunteers.

Pet food donations are always a great need, especially dry kibble both dog and cat food and flea & tick prevention for both cats and dogs.

You can drop donations off at the following locations during thier regular business hours.
