Due to ongoing construction at our Cascade location, our Breton location will be open tomorrow, February 1st. While we are not typically open on Saturdays, we will be open this Saturday to continue serving you and your pets while the Cascade location remains closed.

Important Construction Notice: CHFA Temporary Service Changes (Jan 27 - Feb 1(tentative dates))
Dear Valued Clients,
We are excited to announce that Cascade Hospital for Animals will be undergoing a major remodeling project from January 27th to February 1st! During this time, we will still be open but with limited services as we work on installing new flooring throughout the hospital. There will be continued projects the subsequent weeks as well, so please check our website or page for continued updates.

Limited Services at CHFA:
Available Services: Daycare, Grooming, and Rehabilitation, and Food pick up
Unavailable Services: Outpatient appointments, Surgery, Dental, and Prescription Refills (Note: prescriptions already filled may still be picked up)

For any services unavailable at CHFA, we are pleased to announce that Breton Village Animal Clinic (BVAC) will be stepping in to assist. They will be offering extended hours for your convenience:
Breton Village Animal Clinic Extended Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 7:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (*only February 1st, 2025)
Sunday: Closed

We understand that these changes may cause some inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our facilities. The outcome of this remodel will enhance the experience for both you and your pets, and we are excited to share the results with you soon!

We are always learning! From 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm today, Cascade Hospital for Animals will be closed for a staff-wide education session, while Breton Village Animal Clinic will be closed from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm. CHFA and BVAC value staying up to date on the latest health information so we can continue to give your pets the high-quality care they deserve. We appreciate your understanding!

📢 Important Announcement from Our Medical Director 📢

Dear Valued Clients,

Recent news articles have increased concern about side effects observed in some patients receiving the injectable medication Librela. Some of the reported side effects include neurologic abnormalities like ataxia/stumbling, weakness, paralysis, seizures, and urinary tract abnormalities.

At Cascade Hospital for Animals, we take the safety of our patients very seriously, and we are doing all we can to stay informed about these adverse events.

It is clear that Librela continues to serve as a tool to relieve arthritis pain for some of our canine patients, and we will continue to offer the medication as an option for pain control. However, Librela should not be started without a conversation with a veterinarian to discuss the potential for side effects and assess each patient’s unique situation. As the data emerges, it is becoming more clear that patients with pre-existing neurologic disease are not candidates for Librela.

Thank you for the continued trust you place in us as we partner with you to care for your pets.
