Happy Caturday from Cali! She enjoys snuggling under Christmas trees this time of year 🎄

During this time of year many are putting up their own trees and celebrating the holiday season. During these times it can be easy to overlook the potential hazards to your cat's well-being.

Remember when putting your tree up, be sure to not add any ribbons or tinsel as they can pose a threat and can be a possible foreign body for pets! Hanging ornaments higher onto the tree is essential to avoid broken glass and potential for injury if your pet likes to play with lights and other objects.

Meet adoptable pet of the week, Beau! This sweet 10 month old pup is a snuggler, needs a job and the perfect fit for a new home this holiday season ❤️

Beau is now looking for his 6th home (which is too much to ask of a puppy, or any dog). This next family needs to stick for his benefit! He is not a couch dog and loves to play and needs a job to burn off his energy. But, after lots of play, he is a big snuggler and bed hog!

Beau loves other dogs but, he does resource guard items. His foster mom has been working on this with him and says it is manageable and he will listen but, this needs to be watched in the home. Due to previous trauma, Beau does need to be sedated for any medical visits or needs to find a person who can work through this trauma and give him consistency to see that not all veterinary visits are scary. Beau does well with cats but, he may be too much energy for an only-cat household. He is also house broken, crate trained and can be left alone after he is comfortable as long as items in the home are picked up. Lastly, Beau does need some work on leash training and can have big feelings when seeing other dogs out walking. 🐶

With consistency and lots of love, Beau is going to make a wonderful addition to the right home! There are resources and people who want to see this sweet boy happy and succeed! Beau also comes with a FREE obedience course with his adoption.
