JennMarie Equestrian Exploring improvement of horse and human partnerships through symbiotic, compassionate relationships with horses. Hi there! Thanks for stopping by!

I have been into Equestrian matters for over 20 years, my background is in Dressage, Ranch Riding and Liberty. My influencers are Luke Gingerich and Warrick Schiller, well established and highly talented horsemen. I do what I do for my horses sake, always looking to relationship building, unity and willingness instead of force. I follow behavior chain formulas used in operant conditioning and I am for positive reinforcement as well as using correction.

Not Anti-Equipment.

This isn’t anti-tack,
It’s anti-confusion.

Equipment doesn’t create communication.
It only reveals whether communication already exists.

Bridleless riding isn’t the goal.

It’s the byproduct.

When communication is clear, the nervous systems are regulated, and the conversation is mutual—equipment becomes optional.

Not because it’s impressive.
Because it’s unnecessary.

Horses don’t ask us to be perfect.
They ask us to be present.

When we regulate ourselves, we shift the environment neurologically. Slower breathing, softer posture, and emotional steadiness support parasympathetic activation in both horse and human. This state allows for motor learning, bonding, curiosity, and adaptability.

Our horses feel us before they understand us.

Before the cue, before the correction, before the movement—there is our nervous system.
When we’re rushed, tight, or frustrated, they carry it. When we slow our breath, soften our body, and regulate ourselves, they find safety.

Training isn’t just about what we do with our horses.
It’s about who we are, while beside them.

Calm creates clarity. Regulation creates trust.

This horse is incredibly special to me and this video even more so... in this video she is licking repeatedly, she was licking my coat, my hair at one point, and my hands. It went on for a little while before I started to take a video. We went for a walk and she seemed so happy, she was walking so close to me with 100% attention. I haven't seen her in probably a year, in the past we probably spent four years together when she started as a paid Training horse and I went on to continue to ride and work with her without cost because I connected with her so much. Tanna and I have a unique bond that I haven't experienced with many other horses, if any. The chemistry was something of a mutually empathic nature. I've never had a feeling like an animal was speaking to me, like I've had with her. This day I felt like she said "you're deeper than you used to be". It's all very interesting

Tell me about your heart horse?

Meet my horse: Wimpys N Town- Vega

Granddaughter of the National Champion Wimpys Little Step and includes Red Pine in her lines, both Dam and Sire's side.

Low single swirl, slight unraveling upwards

She is Active + Independence Priority on the Equinality Chart (To be released in 2026) She is secure by herself, and has a balanced emotional landscape. She has never know anything other that the smartest one in the herd, and has self respect and she will not hesitate to maintain her personal boundaries. That being said, she is very sensitive and respectful to humans. I have never known a horse to learn as fast as she does. With the smallest signal she goes to work, making it a game to discover what it is that is asked of her.

Her work ethic is like nothing i've ever seen. I have to watch her conditioning in exercise for signs of weakness, as she will not stop herself from work or ask me to stop when she should.

She's my homegirl, and is one of the few heart-horses of my lifetime.

Even in the snow, my heart is warm...

DREAMS. Happen with small bricks, every day, add up to a wall, add up to a foundation, add up to supporting the roof... if you have access to a horse, you have all you need for transformation. The power is in the daily.

❤ And I want to help you with a plan to reach your dreams...

Step by step this winter, I am excited to be preparing something very special to be released next year, just for you. 🙂

Teaching the lay down will give you an exact report on the trust levels your horse has for you.

When we teach the steps, (without force) the Central Nervous system (Brain) problem solves until they conclude that you'd like them to lay down, then something different happens: The Autonomic Nervous system (involuntary danger detection) puts on the breaks and has to make a subconscious decision; whether we can be trusted while they put themselves into such a vulnerable position.

This is the defining moment. If, you prove yourself to be trustworthy, they will give you a chance. But if you break that chance by rushing, forcing, or taking advantage of the position, the trust will be reduced, affecting much of your other interactions. Any repeats of broken trust will reduce the likely hood of a willing lay down happening again, but repeats of a connecting, open experience will magnify trust. It's an enormously beautiful thing to experience a lay down with a horse in this state.

So, teach the lay down, because it will show you who you are to your horse.

Proximity: nearness in space, time or relationship. It is a beautiful thing when horses desire us to be in their personal bubble. When we listen to the body language, they feel safe to let us in. They know that if they need space, we will see that need... they know if they need comfort, we will see that need. This creates incredibly strong, intimate attachments, needless of any spoken word.

The push, pull and block energies from bodily language make up the dialect that allow us to communicate with other species, the connection we have with horses especially is a healing sort, reminding us to see the world with a simple and more content view.
