🌟🐴 The Power of Validation in Building Trust 🌟🐴

I've learned that validation of feelings is the cornerstone of any meaningful relationship, whether with humans or our equine friends. Just like us, horses experience emotions, and helping them feel heard and understood is essential in nurturing trust.

When we take the time to acknowledge and validate what our horses are feeling—be it fear, excitement, or uncertainty—it creates a safe space for them to express themselves. This not only deepens our bond but also fosters a relationship built on mutual respect and understanding and opens the doors to incredible growth. It is the opposite of other horsemanship styles; often purposed to require obedience alone.

I encourage everyone to embrace the emotions we all experience, both in ourselves and in our horses. It’s in this validation that trust flourishes, leading to more profound connections and enriching experiences together. Only when we can validate and trust one another, will division subside.

Let’s celebrate this journey of understanding and trust with our amazing equine companions! 💖🐎

From pregnancy photos to baby photos! Thank you Dan Empson for take these before and after pictures of Vega and baby Siri!

Siri is a ray of sunshine! She is softly offered for sale to an amazing home, she is truly the best of both Vega (Red Pine/Wimpy) and her half brother Orbit's line (Badger). Easy to train and sooo sweet and in your pocket. She will be lightly started next year if she doesn't sell, hurry before I get attached to this little nugget of gold! That being said, I don't mind if she stays either.

My beautiful boy Perrin is growing up! There's a beauty in that beast, and his heart is solid gold! I had an amazing time in this photoshoot with him, Kennedy Silvernail of Silvernail Photography just totally 'nailed' it!!

As an artist I love doing photoshoots with my horses. It gives me a creative outlet with these animals that I love so much, and it gets them exposed to different textiles and environments. I was so happy with Kennedy's eye for poses and how she captured such great moments in just a short session. Thank you again!

Emmaleah McCullick and I had a great time ar the Holland Western Extreme Mountain Trail with Perrin and Aurora! It was Aurora's first time trailering to a new location since she has been with me and it went very well. Small changes at a time are the key to big successes.

Arriving from Canada last fall was a pretty dramatic change for her, she was a 16 hand 3 yr old filly who needed a lot of work. I spent all winter helping her feel relaxed in the trailer again, then we started with short trailer rides around the block with Perrin, who has steady energy. We introduced the saddle earlier this year. The more time you can spend in the beginning helping them through new things with patience, the less time you have to spend later on. ❤️
