Founded in 2017 by Lindsey Kite Smith, Still Point Farm focuses on the development of both horse and rider with an emphasis on proper technique, equitation, and gradual but steady growth, leading to competitive success

The Still Point crew had a great spooky time at Monster Mash in Katy. We had some new horses and new pairs making their show debut, and are so proud of how everyone went around.

Sierra & Action Man were fast and clean in the Modified Children’s Jumpers, earning Reserve Champion of the division.

Alex & SW Frequent Flier had a great first time out together in the Low Adult Hunters. In huge classes, they put in consistent trips with highlights including a win over fences and 6th out of 25 in the under saddle.

Alyssa & Sonet V made their show debut together to great success, including 2nd in a big class.

Our pony power pair, Emme & Just Keep Swimming, had some lovely trips in the Med/Long Stirrup. They won their warm up trip both days as well as winning the under saddle.

And finally, Dax’s new horse, Furthermore, had some nice trips with Brianna in the 3’ Green Hunters. They pinned each time out, including a 2nd in the under saddle.

We can’t wait to head back out for Final Chase later this month!

Still Point Farm closed out a hot final Summer Circuit Show with our 2’ Beginner group!

Tell Tale Heart & Meg made their show debut with us for fantastic results. They were consistent all weekend, earning Reserve Champion in the division. This team has great things ahead!

Walks With Grace & Heba earned top ribbons in many of their classes. It’s hard to believe this is only their second time in 2’, but they’ve been working hard all summer and it shows.

Blue Suede Shoes & Sidney placed in all of their classes, and are getting stronger every show. We are proud of how far you’ve come!

Still Point Farm had a great time at Wilco last weekend for the CTHJA Summer Circuit II show! Our riders have been working so hard, and their progress showed with nice ribbons in competitive classes.

Sidney & Blue Suede Shoes did their first show in the 2’ Beginner Hunter division, and had some great rounds including placing 2nd in the equitation over fences.

Heba & Walks With Grace moved up for their first time at 2’ in the Beginner hunters, getting some nice ribbons in competitive classes. Our gray hunters really showed up, both doing their first show at the big ring at Wilco. Great job girls!

Cassie piloted Linda Pryor’s Divides Smart Lil Steele for some great rounds in the open 2’ division, placing in the over fences and earning 3rd in the under saddle.

We’ll be back at the final summer circuit show to continue learning and testing our skills in the ring!

Still Point Farm had a fantastic time at Blue Ribbon Summer Series I! Our riders are pushing themselves and working hard at home, so it’s nice when the ribbons reflect their dedication.

In the hunter ring, our group had many firsts! Crusero and Lindsey made their National Derby debut, with some fantastic moments. Owner Lauren and Crusero made their 3’ Adult Amateur debut, and continue to learn and grow together as a team.

Rhaego and Alex kicked off their show partnership together with great results in the 2’6” including a win in the under saddle, winning the equitation over fences, and 3rd in the $500 2’6” Hunter Classic. They also stepped up to the 3’ on Sunday!

For our jumpers, Wonderful Willow & Bella stepped straight into the .90s for the first time, and completed two divisions at that height. They were consistent in the .90m jumpers, with nice ribbons in good competition including winning the open .90m.

L Woods SPF was on 🔥 winning all her classes except one (which was 2nd!). Her and owner Anton were champion in the .90m Mod Jr/Am, earning their first championship as a team!

Hope I’m Good & Amelie were speedy and consistent all weekend, earning champion of the .75m jumpers. This pair is so fun to watch!

Sales horse Divinity BBR has the best attitude and try as she continues to learn the hunter/jumper world. Brianna piloted this great mare through many solid rounds, including winning the open .90m.

Our SPF riders really embraced some true Texas spring weather earlier this month at the Great Southwest round up, but thunderstorms couldn’t stop this crew from making great strides in their progress!

Amelie & Hope had a fantastic rated debut in the jumpers. This powerhouse team were fast and clean all weekend, with 1st and 2nd in the huge Weekend Jumper division.

Brianna & Tinka Lady continue to get back to their winning ways, going 2 for 2 in the 1.05m jumpers and claiming champion of the division. We’re so happy to see this incredible mare back doing what she loves!

Emmy & Just Keep Swimming had a great weekend in the short stirrup, winning their first over fences together as well as first in the hack.

L Woods SPF had a fantastic week, taking the blue in both the .85m and 1.0m with Sam and then put in super rounds with owner Anton, earning 3rd and 4th in a super competitive Mod Ch/Adult jumper division.

Crusero made his National Hunter Derby debut with Sam, trying his heart out. Him and Lauren continued to work on polish and consistency during their rounds, with some nice ribbons in the Pre-Ch/Adult hunters and winning the 2’9” warmup.

Great job everyone! Looking forward to get back out there at Blue Ribbon Series in Waco next month.

Total eclipse of the… hooves?!? and Rowan and all the Still Point ponies were in the path of totality in yesterday’s eclipse. Us humans were in awe, but we bet the horses wondered why they didn’t get dinner before it got dark! 😂🌘

The SPF crew knocked off the dust and then some at our first show back this year, GSEC Winter Series III. All of our riders brought their A game and exceeded expectations with their horsemanship and just as important—sportsmanship.

This show saw the Short Stirrup debut for both Just Keep Swimming and Bunbury Barrichello.

Just Keep Swimming won both of his under saddles with Lindsey and owner Emmy, and had some great courses throughout the weekend with many ribbons in the Short Stirrup including 2nd in the warmup.

Dylynn gave Bunbury Barrichello exactly what he needed and piloted her pony around like a champ this weekend. This adorable pair earned a 3rd in the Short Stirrup under saddle, as well as a 3rd in the warm-up.

Crusero and Lauren Mauldin were Reserve Champion in the 2’9” Pre-Adult Hunters, winning the hack and one over fences with strong rounds that were personal bests for this team. Lindsey and Crusero also won the 2’9” Houston Hunter under saddle.

James Trickington and Lindsey were champion in the 2’6” GSEC Hunters. Jim and his owner Alana rode through a windy cold front to pin in all of their Low Children’s classes, including a 2nd in the over fences.

L Woods SPF had a lovely low-key show experience, starting her season off wonderfully. We love developing this talented young jumper and can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for her.

Congratulations to Alexandra Moran and Rowan Oak for a fantastic 2023 show season that awarded them THJA Year-End Champions! Alex was champion of the Low Adult Equitation, and piloted Rowan Oak to 5th in the 18-35 Low Adult Hunters. These two have built such a strong partnership together, and make a fantastic team. We’re so proud!

We got swept up in the holidays, but can’t forget to congratulate our jumper riders for a fantastic Split Rock at Forth Worth! Our crowd was small, but mighty with great ribbons in HUGE classes.

With Lindsey, L Woods SPF won the 1.0m Speed class and was 6th in the .90m. She was also on fire with owner Anton, earning 5th in the .85m Jr/Am Speed (out of 60!) and 8th in the .85m Jr/Am Final.

Wonderful Willow continues to be true to her namesake! She and Bella had an amazing weekend, with 2nd in the Helite .80m Speed, 6th in the .85m Jr/Am Final, 7th in the .70m Speed, and 10th in the .80m Helite Speed.

More than these admittedly huge ribbons, we’re proud of our riders for handling this impressive show with determination and humility. It took a lot of hard work to get there!

The Still Point crew had a fantastic Final Chase to end the 2023 season. Our riders have been working hard all year and this success is well deserved!

Alex & Rowan Oak, otherwise known as the equitation dream team, absolutely killed it in the 2’6”. They won both the 2’6” Adult Eq and Flat, and were Reserve in the THJA Adult Mini Medal. To top all that out, they won one of their low adult amateur rounds and placed consistently in this tough division. We couldn’t be more proud!

L Woods SPF was solid all week, earning ribbons in the 1.05m and 1.10m jumpers with Lindsey. With owner Anton, they won top ribbons in the Low Adult Jumpers and stepped up for their first classic together.

Sierra & Glowing Attraction had a great return to the show ring together, putting in productive and consistent rounds in the .75m and weekend jumpers. These two have come a long way and Sierra rode every round excellently!

Amelie & Eye Candy won the Low Children’s Hunter U/S, but more importantly Amelie showed her tenacity and ability to keep going with several well-earned placings in the 2’6” Low Children’s hunters.

Dax & Nakaro continue to build consistency together in the 2’9” pre-children hunters. They had some lovely rounds, and pinned consistently in this competitive division.

Brianna & Tinka Lady are making their way back in the jumper ring, with great trips in the 1.05m and 1.10m.

Our CTHJA show team ended the season with a bang at the year end show! Our riders have come so far this year. We’re incredibly proud of the work they’ve put in, lessons learned, and successes earned.

Walk with Grace & Heba were champions in the Special Beginner Rider hunter division, winning both over fences, the warm-up, and picking up an additional blue in the equitation flat.

Blue Suede Shoes & Sidney were champion in the Special Beginner equitation division. They won the eq over fences, and were extremely solid all weekend with great ribbons in the special beginner classes.

James Trickington & Alana continue to grow together as a team. They pinned in the competitive 2’6” modified classes, including two well-earned ribbons in the eq.

Still Point Farm had a blast getting back in the show ring at the Great Southwest Fall Classic last weekend... even if the weather didn't feel much like fall! All our riders had great learning moments and personal bests.

L. Woods SPF was a star this weekend! Her and Lindsey were 1st and 2nd in the 1.05m and 1.10m jumpers. Anton and L conquered a challenging 1.0m course for the win and were also reserve in the 1.0m jumpers.

Amelie & Eye Candy really worked through a challenging first day to win the Low Children's under saddle, Amelie's FIRST blue over fences, and Reserve Champion of the Low Children's hunters.

It was a big move-up weekend for Crusero. Lindsey piloted him through some great rounds in the 3' greens, pinning in incredibly good company. Lauren & Crusero did their first 2'9" division together in the Pre-Child/Adults, winning the hack and placing 2nd and 3rd over fences with some really consistent rounds.

James Trickington made his rated show debut, with great success! With Lindsey he placed 2nd in both of his 2'6" USHJA hunter over fences rounds, and Alana put in some great rounds for many ribbons in the super competitive Low Children's Hunters.

Dax & Nakaro showed they can step right into the ring and make things happen! Placing 3rd in the 2'6" warm-up and pinning in each of their Low Children's hunter classes.

Alex & Rowan Oak continue to shine in the equitation, placing 2nd in both the flat and over fences of the highly competitive Modified Child/Adult equitation and earning 5th in the THJA Mini Medal.

Brianna & Tinka Lady got back in the jumper ring after a long break from showing, and picked right back up with some great rounds placing 3rd in the .95m jumpers.

This was a fantastic show for the SPF barn family, and we are so proud of all of our riders!
