Los lagos Equestrian Inc Featured Trainer this month is lisa Bradley. Thank you lisa for bringing apart of the team and family !
My love and passion for horses began as a young child. It was a family affair. My sister showed locally on ponies, and we grew up to show Morgan horses on the A Circuit. We revolved around them. We lived and breathed them. From our own to family vacations on dude ranches, horses were always a part of our lives. And my parents were always there supporting and nurturing my dream.
After the Morgans, there were APHA and AQHA horses. I showed them in Hunters, English events, Western, and in the All-Around Division. I took my mare, all the way to competing in Hunters at the AQHA World Show. In addition, my dad also had race horses. After their running career was over, I would re-train them to have a second career and a second life. They excelled as hunters, jumpers and in dressage. It was extremely rewarding. Eventually, I switched gears again and went back to AQHA horses and focused on more Western events. With some great equine partners, I won multiple titles and buckles in Ranch Riding, Reining, and Trail. I then found myself looking around for something new to pique my interest. Expanding to Iberian horses and starting in Working Equitation seemed a perfect fit! I’m currently riding my Andalusian gelding (Bo) in Western Dressage, Cowboy Dressage and some Ranch classes. He’s really showing a talent for it and seems to be enjoying himself to boot. I will hopefully include some Working Equitation and obstacles this year. I finished 2024, my first year in Western Dresssge, #2 in the state in the Open Division. Bo and I also won a level, and second in Level 1, and the #1 Andalusian for the year. Plus, we earned a bronze medal. I’m super proud to have had such a successful first year! During my career, I’ve produced many successful riders in multiple disciplines. It’s a joy and privilege to see my clients succeed.
As well as coached, judged, and done clinics. Always hoping to teach something to everyone.
I feel like my attributes are to find what each rider and horse’s skills are, no matter what the breed or discipline, and have success. It takes an open mind to find what brings out the best in each pair. Taking that journey with them brings out the best in me.
So if you are wanting to expand your knowledge, find your next equine partner, or experience horse shows at any level, please reach out. I look forward to the challenge!
