Have you ever seen a happier boy? Blue loves to play ball. He loves everyone at the shelter. He has been known to get along with other dogs, but an appropriate introduction is always required and helpful. Blue is 4 years old He came to us as a puppy with puppy strangles. He also had a severe under bite which had to be corrected. He also had a heart murmur that he outgrew. He will play ball with you for hours. It's very cute when he goes to get a drink, he takes the ball with him and puts it in the water bowl while he drinks around it. Once he's done, he grabs the ball out of the water bowl and continues to play. In December of 2018, this precious little girl came into animal control. I named her Fancy. 3 weeks later in January of 2019, She was adopted by a wonderful couple. She just touched their hearts. They nursed her back to health. She got her hair back and turned into a happy and healthy girl. She loved her home. She loved her parents and she loved her fursibling. I was notified yesterday that Fancy has gone to the bridge. My heart broke. Then I remembered that she had six awesome years with the Schutte family. Where she was loved so much and taken care of. In rescue, it doesn't get any better than that. Here is what her mama had to say.

"Hey, Deb. Wanted to let you know that Fancy passed away this afternoon. She really was the sweetest baby and as tough as they came. She's had a few health issues, but she couldn't get over this one. Our vet thought she had lymphoma as she had breast cancer a few years back. She was definitely our baby, and we loved that little girl. Our hearts are broken. Thank you for posting her on your Pound Pets page, or we never would have had the absolute pleasure of being her mom and dad. ❤️ She's going to be missed 😢."

Please keep her mom, dad and fursibling in your thoughts and prayers while they grieve the devastating loss of Fancy. You were the bestest girl Fancy, and I think I named you right. You will be missed sweet girl. We love you. Until we meet again...🌈😭💔

Buddy continues to recover from his ACL surgery at Lisa’s house. He has had 2 laser treatments and has 3 more next week. The vet said his incision looks really good. After that his PT will begin. He hasn’t had much of an appetite due to all the pain meds etc he is on but today he ate really good. He still absolutely hates taking his meds. 🤬 Sometimes it doesn’t matter what we hide them in he can sniff them out. He still hasn’t figured out that if he takes his meds he’s not in as much pain.

I took him back to the shelter for a few hours today so he could visit his girlfriend Coco. He was ready to leave again in about 4 hours. He laid by the door so I had no choice but to take him with me when I left.

This is what he does a lot of but the vet said this is exactly what he should be doing 💤
