UPDATE ON SIMBA: He went to the vet on Friday for his eye surgery, neuter surgery, vaccinations and microchip. The vet said both surgeries went very well but he does have to wear a cone for 2 weeks which he is not liking. We bought him a different style cone to see if it would be more comfortable and easier for him. He is doing pretty good right now. His healing time on his eye surgery should be around 2 weeks and the vet thinks it will go back to completely normal. We have to continue several different medications for him so if anybody would like to send some of the FRISKIES LIL SOUPS off of our Amazon or chewy wish list those really help with getting medications in them. This bill was $290.27 along with about 6 other bills that we still have to pay at Hudson Animal Hospital so if anyone would like to call in any donations to help out that would be wonderful. WE COULD USE YOUR HELP WITH SIMBA: Update for everyone on him. Unfortunately Simba was in with the group that caught the virus that has been going around. The Vets are calling it The "cat cold" which is the same symptoms as the human cold. There's really nothing that you can do to speed up the recovery it just has to run its course. Although all of them have gotten antibiotics just in case any secondary infections came along. Bless his little heart he was the only one that got a eye infection with it. His left eye has gotten three different kinds of antibiotics and has gotten better but it did not heal correctly. The Vets want to do eye surgery and also neuter him while under anesthesia on this coming Friday. I know he seems like he's too little but they advise us that he will be fine and they only want to put him under anesthesia one time which we understand. They're telling us that this will be just a minor eye surgery right now but if we wait any longer it might turn into something more major so we're going to go ahead and do it for him. So please send up lots of prayers for him on Friday. Anyone that wants to donate towards his vet bills can call in donations directly to Hudson Animal Hospital at 828-572-4442.
