Tanya Cooper/Coats & Tails Dog Pawlour
I am addressing the "mystery dog illness" that is on local & national news.
It is my utmost priority to keep your dog healthy & happy while in my care. To educate myself in efforts to maintain a safe environment during your dog's grooming appointment, I have contacted several veterinary practices. The information given is essentially then same from all practices.
Note that this is an airborne type illness; therefore, I cannot provide a 100% germ free environment.
I plan to take rigorous precautions now and will adjust as needed.
(1)Expensive medical grade UV air/ozone scrubbers have been ordered adding another layer of defence to my sanitation regimen. (2) It would be best for dogs to arrive as close to the appointment and picked up promptly after grooming is completed. I will no longer keep dogs for an extended period!!
(3) Appointments MUST be pushed out 14 days from the last day a dog has attended daycare and/or boarded. Most of my dogs have reoccurring appointments. If your dog's appointment needs to be rescheduled due to the 14 day policy mentioned, I'll do my best to get your dog on the schedule, but I cannot promise how soon.
I highly encourage you to contact your vet to discuss your pup's risk level.
Please be patient & mindful that decisions made are for the best effort to keep your family pet safe.
Let's work together to get through this time of uncertainty.
Sincerely, Tanya Cooper 803.634.6540
