We are making some changes to our Bathing and Grooming Department. Nail Trims and Ear Cleaning are still part of our Full Bath and Brush and all "extras" can be done while your dog is in-house boarding or enjoying daycare. ***Appointments for just Extras will not be available to new customers who have never done any bathing services with us before.*** We are canceling the "Walk-In" services and making them by appointment only. Please give us a call to schedule an appointment for Nail Trims, A**l Expression, Teeth and Ear Cleaning or if you have any questions.

ATTENTION SMALL DOG LEARN & PLAY LOVERS! Our Wednesday morning Small Dog, 30lbs and Under, Learn & Play will move to 10 am effective this coming Wednesday, February 21, 2024. The Thursday evening 7 to 8 pm session will remain the same.

If you've been to our training classes or Learn & Plays, you're probably familiar with Jessica "Nellie" Dunham. We want to officially introduce her as a member of our Training team. We asked Nellie to tell us about her training philosophy.

“Dogs are man/woman’s best friends.” I couldn’t agree more with that statement. They are an incredible addition to a family. However, my philosophy is “Every dog should have a job or a purpose.” Whether it’s fetching the newspaper, doing agility or rally for fun, competition forms of agility or rally, scent trials, barn hunts, herding, hunting with your bird dog, or therapy dog work.

Every dog, especially working and sporting breeds, need that purpose. Dogs with a job not only develop a bond with their owners but having a purpose helps to fight against boredom and destructive behaviors such as chewing things they shouldn’t. Having a job can save not only your ottoman or favorite pair of slippers, it can save you the cost of surgery to remove an obstruction caused by boredom chewing.

Just like us going to school and learning who we wanted to be when we grew up, our dogs should be given the choice to have a purpose and become who they were meant to be-your best friend.
