🎃Spooky Season stars Caitlin!👻

Caitlin has worked as an assistant here at PVC since 2013! She started her veterinary venture or adventure (!) in 2010 at Southern Oregon Humane Society shortly after a barrel racing event ended with her fracturing several vertebrae in her neck!😿 Does she still ride horses, you may wonder? Heck yes! She & her husband & 2 kiddos are family to horses, dogs, cats, goats & chickens!
They live on a lovely piece of property that originally belonged to her maternal grandparents. The 365 acre property was purchased by Caitlin’s grandparents in the ‘70’s & was a working cattle ranch! So cool!
🐮🐄
Ya know what else is cool? Caitlin comes from a circus family!!🏟️🤡
The Hanneford Family Circus dates back to 1807!! Who knew? Now we all do!
The speed round of bonus info starts NOW——🏁
Caitlin was born in Portland, Oregon, moved to Chico, Ca as a wee child & then landed in Grants Pass in 7th grade. She absolutely hates any & all seafood (?), loves all animals but especially the feline kind & her favorite color is pink.🩷💝💖
When I took a gentle stroll around our clinic & asked my coworkers what they like about working with Caitlin, here’s what I heard: “Her humor!”
“Her willingness to help & be up for crushing a challenge even if it’s something she’s uncomfortable with.”
(🐍🐍🐍) and “She’s always one step ahead of me!”
We’re fortunate & grateful to have Caitlin working here & taking great care of all our patients!

Dear Riverside Clients-
Our hearts go out to you as you are finding out that your vet clinic is closing. It’s unfortunate that you have been placed in the situation to urgently look for new veterinary care for your beloved pets.
We very recently learned that you were sent an email and letter instructing you to bring your records here or to Valley Vet.
This is not correct information! We are not in partnership with Riverside and DO NOT have the capacity to take on another clinic's entire patient list.
Please do not bring your records here, we unfortunately will have to turn you away.
We have generated a list of clinics within the Rogue Valley that can gradually absorb these patients (see below)
We already have a very long wait list for annual exams for our own clients.
We are also keeping a wait list for new clients that we will gradually work through, but it is already extremely long. We recommend that you establish your pet with a veterinarian who is currently taking new patients. But if you would still like to be added to our wait list please call 541-479-2221 and press 3 to leave a message with your name and phone number. Sadly, we will almost certainly not be able to take on new appointments until the middle of 2025.
We have had to limit how many new clients we can take per month so that we can continue to service our current clients.

Our front staff is working at full capacity each day to service the patients we have scheduled. We do not have the additional manpower necessary to be the sole solution to Riverside’s closure. We really feel for you and are so sorry that this is happening. It is very understandable that many of you will feel stressed and even angry, but please do not direct that at our hardworking staff. We did not create this issue.
Thank you for being patient and we wish each of you and your animal family the very best.
Please direct your questions to Riverside at (541) 479-8361. They may be able to connect you with their parent company, Blue River, if you would like to discuss the issue further.

Thank you,
Pacific Veterinary Clinic

These pictures show exactly that!😍A wonderful client sent us these pictures both taken in the same exam room here at PVC showing
🥳10 years🥳 of life & love & companionship!!

Just want to let everyone know about the change in our boarding.

We are writing to you as valued clients of Pacific Veterinary Clinic. We are currently serving our
community with five full time veterinarians plus two relief veterinarians coming into our practice
to support our team. Our goal is to get to a very regular five and one half doctors on a regular
basis. Our community has a strong demand for veterinary care and we are doing our very best
to keep up with this need. This said our ability to board healthy pets can at times interfere with
the space we have for our inpatients and outpatient surgery service.
After serious discussion, we have made the decision to move away from boarding with the
exception being made for patients with serious medical issues. This will include diabetics but
will exclude patients on medications that are stable.
We believe that most pets will be better served at a boarding facility where more extensive
services such as play times are provided. We provide a short morning, midday and evening
walk to potty our canine boarders but no play times or extra services.
When we board our own patients with serious medical conditions, we will not board their healthy
house-mates for the reasons mentioned above.
We thank you in advance for your understanding. We really do value each of you and we
believe this decision will help us to continue to provide the highest care of our hospitalized
patients and outpatient surgery cases.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

🌤️September Employee Spotlight falls on our fun loving 💗Christina💗
Did anyone out there notice I had to skip August? No? No one noticed? Good. Let’s get back to it!!⏰💎
Christina is one of our super talented assistants who comes to PVC from the great state of California! Specifically Santa Rosa!!🍷
She started in general practice at the kennel assistant level which provides a wonderful learning experience and is HARD work!😱 Christina has an affinity for fast action & excitement so she moved to working in an animal ER in San Rafael where she stayed & polished her skills for 6 years until she & her 3 year old son moved to our lovely valley!🫶🏼 Once here, PVC was able to snag her & enjoy her skill set, laughter & fabulous customer service! If you have ever had the pleasure of interacting with Christina, not only is she wonderful with our patients but she really is great with the human species as well!😃 Listening to her, I can clearly tell that she has a knack for dealing with people in various situations in an animal hospital setting. She is kind and funny and cares about her patience and clients! 💗
If you ask Christina what her favorite animal is, she of course, can’t pick one. She does have an affinity for tabby cats and especially ones that are polydactyl. (google it😉)
Christina likes to go for long drives to explore, likes to camp and swim in sparkling lakes with her kiddo! 🩴🥽
She likes to cook, loves eating sushi🍣 & really hopes to visit the Hawaiian Islands sometime.
Next time you are in the clinic, enjoy some laughs and shared information with this fun loving coworker of ours!

🧁Cheers to Christina!🧁
