Zeus used to be hansel is one of my newest clients. This Boi is doing amazing in his new home. They have so much fun training that his skills are building very quickly.
I started working with hansel when he was about 4 months and displayed some concerning behavior at the shelter in certain settings. As the staff started to give him extra attention and myself working with him once a week or so along with his future family visiting him so often. He has become an Amazing lil guy. Well bigger guy now but for awhile problem behaviors left unattended as they are young. I knew once he started getting bigger it would develop into a problem.
The staff poured love and attention into him the volunteers and now his family.
Maybe you can't change the world for every dog but you can change one dogs whole world. 🌏✨️🎉

Working with shelter/rescue dogs or dogs with ( aggression) hyper reactivity to humans or other dogs.
The thing I have learned the most is addressing their need. Visually representing the need in vase #1 often a dog has faced such a lack i life that problem behaviors start to arise and are incredibly hard to fix without addressing the deepest needs.
I can train cues ( Sit ,Down , Stay, come ) ect.. let's call them the ABC's of behavior. Once we address the needs and give them what they are looking for we can fly through the ABCs
But it's a commitment it to the end result represent ed in vase #2 .

Scheduling time for fun in a busy schedule can be hard. But 💯 worth it
Even 10 solid minutes of 1 on 1 fun time can help decrease so many problem behaviors.
If you cant go outside consider a few doggy puzzles or frozen kong. Remember dogs and puppys get bored just like kids.
Sometimes you got to add some spice to their life 💥

🌟 Nico 🌟 This handsome boy is at the shelter currently for adoption. It takes all of my self restraint not to just up and adopt him right on the spot. . What draws you in at first his golden soft eyes that seem to flood out love. Then his quirky character where a funny behavior will catch you so off guard you cant help but laugh. Then you pull out the treats and this boy once he can settle his energy is READY to work. He is focused and will meet any challenge asked if given the time & patience. When you make it FUN for him he is hooked. What a smart guy and such a blessing for the right family. He is an amazing demo dog and honestly if i had room for another i would adopt him within seconds. Thanks Nico for being your goofy lovable self and helping train volunteers & new board members The trainings are just so much FUN and everyone does so great, especially working with Nico as demonstration.
