Please read the caption, lepto vaccines are very important! The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) has elevated their level of importance.

🚨 Important Update: Leptospirosis Now a Core Vaccine for ALL Dogs
The 2022 AAHA Canine Vaccination Guidelines have been updated to classify the leptospirosis vaccine as CORE for all dogs starting at 12 weeks of age – regardless of lifestyle, location, or breed.
Why the change?
🌆 ALL dogs are at risk—urban, suburban, and rural.
⚠️ Potentially fatal, even with treatment.
🔄 Zoonotic—it can spread from pets to humans.
🏢 Dogs in daycare and kennels also face exposure risks.

We love working with the Humane Society of Burnett County, Inc and recently they brought in a dog that was hit by a car. As you can imagine we had to do a lot to assess her needs and we will still need to do check ups in the future. If you are willing and able to donate to help cover Nakoma's medical costs or to help them help future animals in need please do! Thank you.

Many of you have been following the post we made on Nakoma from being hit by car. First of we'd like to thank Deputy Krupa who brought her to us, Dr. Roberts from Grantsburg Animal Hospital and our own Ed for transporting her to vets. Besides being injured, the poor girl was covered in ticks. Please see the link below to Star's Fund where you can make a donation to help this wonderful dog.❤🐈🐾

Shout-out to Hershey! This beautiful lady is a Humane Society of Burnett County Alumni. It was a pleasure to see her transition from rescue pup to having a forever home, and now we get to have her in for regular nail trims! Hershey is a rock star patient ❤️
