We just had a visit from our awesome grain rep Shelly Chase-Facto. She came out to pull samples of the hay & alfalfa we will be feeding this Fall/Winter. Shelly will provide us the results and if there are any deficiencies we can adjust within our grains.
As always asking the right questions we better understand our hay, our horses, and our grain. Shelly will likely know the answer or we make the phone call to who does. Our barn is ❤️

We had a total of 8 horses break-in the outdoor tonight in a matter of a few hours. What a great night to ride! Even Will jumped on in Crocks 😆.

The AAEP has issued revised Internal Parasite Control Guidelines to help minimize the risk of parasitic disease and maintain the effectiveness of current drugs for as long as possible by delaying further development of anthelmintic resistance.

The updated guidelines account for recent advances in knowledge concerning increased anthelmintic resistance and optimization of parasite control management practices. They also address common misconceptions and offer parasite control program recommendations for senior horses (over 15 years old), mature horses (between 5 and 15 years old), and young horses (under 5 years old).

The guidelines were reviewed and updated by the AAEP Internal Parasite Control Guidelines Task Force, chaired by Dr. Nielsen and comprised of 10 AAEP members predominantly board certified in veterinary internal medicine, veterinary parasitology and/or veterinary microbiology. MISSING: “Bronco Billy”, our beloved mascot, apparently got spooked during last Saturday night’s tornado and ran plumb off, if you see him, possibly in Kansas, he is a breeze to catch, gentle to ride, doesn’t handle real good but is an easy keeper, he hauls quietly but slow to load. There is no reward but we would love to have him back, as he is a part of our Billy Cook family. Thanks in advance
