With Thanksgiving approaching quickly, here's a quick reminder of typical holiday foods that you should not give to your pets as they can be dangerous:

- Turkey (particularly bones, skin, and gravy)
- Onions & Garlic
- Stuffing
- Mashed Potatoes
- Cranberry Sauce
- Grapes & Raisins
- Dough (Raw or Baked)
- Dairy Products
- Fat Trimmings (Cooked or Raw)

Are your pets on a good flea/tick medication? Check out these ticks we took off of a cat in the office today. Did you know that ticks are active as long as the temperature is above 32° for 48 hours? Keep in mind that the over-the-counter preventatives typically take a few days to start to kill the fleas/ticks, where the prescription ones will be working within 24 hours. Call us to get your pets on prevention today!
