Patches is a gentle little girl who was born with a birth injury that has gotten worse as she’s grown -- she and her sister both had umbilical cord entanglement. One of our longest in care, she just celebrated her first birthday; she came to us at about 10 weeks of age. She has a luxating patella (a dislocated kneecap), which makes it painful and difficult for her to walk and play like she deserves; she has been overlooked again and again because of her chronic limp.
The good news is that surgery can repair this and give Patches the happy, pain-free life every cat should have. The cost of her surgery is more than our rescue can cover alone, so we’re reaching out to our amazing supporters for help -- we expecting to have about a $1000 bill based on the estimate, and we want to help give her the best chance at a normal life. We hope that this surgery will help her find her forever home.
