Kitten update they are comfy cozy and getting pampered by a foster. They have a long road ahead of them as they range from 0.7 to 2.1 pounds. Eyes are looking much better after their facial and 3 rounds of meds!

How was your morning? This was ours… Thought we were taking in 8 kittens for a family that let things get out of control, and it really was 13 kittens plus their two pregnant (again) mamas. We always take care of the moms to stop the cycle… These kittens are sickly and most are malnourished — they came from an indoor home💔. Want to make a difference in their little lives?

This group will cost us $1700+ in routine vetting, nevermind food, litter, sick visits to the vet, medicines and a whole truckload of eye ointment. These living quarters are just for the afternoon until we can get them settled with a foster. They have full bellies and eye meds on board already, and they are the sweetest, most pathetic little kittens.

Please help us find a loving home for Purrnado.

Purrnado is part tornado, part purr... He is a VERY vocal boy, loves to talk to you -- he would do great in a home with not other animals. He loves to be around people - he does not mind being picked up and likes to snuggle.

He is estimated to be 6 years old. We are working on better images, he is white with grey spots. Purrnado looks like a bobtail kitty, but we are pretty sure his tail is short due to an injury a long time ago.

We are sponsoring part of his adoption f33 due to him not doing great in our shelter space with other cats in hopes to get him a home sooner than later so he can thrive. We will still require an approved application for his new home. If he needs transported we will make it happen!

So Joey is pretty cute, but we have SO many others available! If you've applied for him and received the confirmation that your app went through, PLEASE do not call, text or email -- we are working through applications so please be patient. Know that the line is long...

Check out North -- he is currently our longest in care and he is AMAZING. So much personality, and he loves to sit on the back of a couch and rest his upper body on your shoulder. Truly the sweetest boy... He came to us and missed his "cute kitten" adoption phase because he got a cold. He is about 9 months old now and a fan favorite at the cat house.

We are getting ready for our HAPPY NEUTER YEAR EVENT this Sunday!!!

Here at SOS of Ohio, we are passionate about reducing the homeless pet population, and making access to spay and neuter possible for everyone. We know how hard it is to care for all of the outdoor cats that many of you feed, and we want to make that a little easier for you.

Thanks to a generous donation from The Jerry and Janice L Noltemeyer Fund and The Columbus Foundation, we are able to bring this clinic to you FREE OF CHARGE! Yup.... you hear me.....FREE! This donation was given to us specifically to help outdoor cats- a population that is usually overlooked when people are making their year end donations.

We will ONLY be providing the surgery and a rabies vaccine at this clinic. If you outdoor kitty needs medical care, or you would like them to have additional vaccines, please e-mail our clinic at [email protected] to be placed on a regular surgery day, and to receive a quote for our daily low cost services.

Looking for a winter weather buddy? We saved these sweet babies from the cold. One of our fosters went to pick up an 8 week old kitten that was kept outside and came across many social kitties that needed our help. 2 of them have curled ears from previous frost bite.
They are all seeking their forever home and someone that will take the time to show them what love is! They all have such sweet spirits. Please help us place them in comfy cozy homes.

Congrats to our adopters over the last couple weeks -- we sent the oldest cat (12 yrs) in care, Lydia -- and also our longest in care (about 10 months), Figgy, to their forever homes! Feels like an accomplishment... We've met some amazing adopters, and help create some great matchups. Thank you to our adopters who make this all happen.❤️

Thank you to our adoption partner Hollywood Feed - Gahanna for another successful adoption event last weekend where TEN cats/kittens found their forevers!

Ok, we've been busy saving kitties -- finally drawing winners today. First winner gets choice of basket (if any of you don't decide within 24 hours we will help you choose😎); second winner gets choice, and third winner gets the last basket. Baskets can be picked up at Whiskers Catnip Cottage in Granville.

THANK YOU all for your support in this -- we raised almost $1800 with the sponsorships! Good timing as we have some extra vet bills this month and a looming dental on an elderly kitty.

Thank you to everyone that came out today (volunteers AND adopters)! Crazy busy couple of hours with 8 adoptions this afternoon! We missed pics of two of them in the craziness, and we are still trying to figure out how to advertise that last one😅.

Look for us Saturday at the Hollywood Feed in Gahanna (Morse/Hamilton Rd location) with more kittens! We will post pics of kittens that will be there.
