Meet Simon AKA cutie big-eared puppy model!! 😍 🐢

He was brought in by Marleigh's Friends Rescue after they were concerned about a possible obstruction when he started straining. Thankfully x-rays did not show any concern, and he was able to go home with some medication.

We hope that Simon is doing great in his fur-ever home!! 🏑 ❀️

🐾 Meet the sweetest boy, Koe-Breezy seen here with technician Jakoe!

He had an unfortunate accident while out on a walk with his mom, and Koe ended up getting hit by a car. πŸš— πŸ’”

Thankfully there were no broken bones, but X-rays did show some pulmonary contusions, a mild pneumothorax, and he had a wound on his lip. πŸ€•

Our friends at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center were able to repair the wound on his lip while our ER doctors were able to stabilize him and get him home to his family after a few days in the ICU.

We are so grateful that Koe and his mom were okay after this terrible accident and happy that we were here to help during such a stressful time. πŸ™ ❀️

Meet Moshi, the scaleless ball python πŸ’œ

Yes, many species of snakes have the scaleless mutation and it’s definitely different to feel and see in person! This beauty unfortunately was suffering from common issues you see in some scaleless species- shedding issues and stomatitis. 🐍

Because these snakes don’t have the typical protection of scales, it’s harder to shed off their skin. They also don’t have the typical mouth scales to prevent debris and other foreign material from getting lodged in the lips and mouth which can cause inflammation and infection.

Thankfully sweet Moshi was able to go home with some medications and we are sending her all the good healing vibes! πŸ™Œ

Meet Tom! 🐢 He was referred here by our friends Mid-Cities Animal Urgent Care after he ingested some of his mom's medication and was experiencing some seizure activity that required overnight monitoring! πŸ’Š

Thankfully he had no more seizures and was able to go home the next day. 🏑 πŸ’—

Also - we could not pass up the opportunity for Tom to get a picture with technician Jerry before heading home! Tom and Jerry just make sense together don't you think?

Thanksgiving is almost here! While we’re excited about the delicious feast ahead, it’s important to understand which foods are toxic for pets.

Keep your cats and dogs away from:
πŸ¦ƒ Stuffing – as it may contain onions or garlic
πŸ¦ƒ Ham and other Pork – can cause pancreatitis, upset stomach, or diarrhea
πŸ¦ƒ Turkey – Dogs should only have a little bit of meat, no skin or seasoning
πŸ¦ƒ Turkey Bones – splinters may cause indigestion or bowel obstruction
πŸ¦ƒ Mashed Potatoes – may have been prepared with butter and dairy
πŸ¦ƒ Salads with Grapes/Raisins – can cause kidney failure
πŸ¦ƒ Chocolate Desserts – toxic to both cats and dogs

If you suspect your pet has eaten something toxic this holiday call AEHNT at (817) 410-2273 we are open 24/7 on Thanksgiving Day.

Toshio is the CUTEST little Shiba Inu puppy we've ever seen. 😍 Unfortunately, he had to come visit us after being diagnosed with Parvovirus by his primary veterinarian. πŸ₯

Parvovirus is a highly contagious disease that affects the GI tract and can make these babies very sick and dehydrated pretty quickly if not treated. Luckily, after a few days of IV fluids, meds, and of course cuddles from his technician Mabel (who may or may not have a soft spot for Shiba's) he was able to go home to his family. 🏑 πŸ’š

Meet Kosmo! 🌟 🐾

He is the sweetest boy and just so happens to be a diabetic. He is seen here modeling with his Freestyle Libre! This monitoring system is a faster, easier, and less painful way to manage your diabetic pet's glucose at home. It allows you to check glucose levels at home without pricking foot pads, ears or lips to get blood, which means less stress on your pet. ❀️

It is important to note that these sensors only last 14 days and is not a replacement to routine follow ups with your primary care veterinarian, but this allows your veterinarian to track several days of data and can help provide important information to manage your pet's glucose appropriately.

It's always a good day when there's new BABIES!! 🍼 😻

Sweet Stella was recently found by her family as a stray and little did they know - she was pregnant! πŸŽ€

She had a little trouble laboring on her own and needed an emergency C-section. She did great during surgery and went home with 2 healthy kittens! 🏑 πŸ’—
