Dogs walked and cuddled Don and I bought Devlon's in 2001, because we fell in love with the area.

It afforded me the opportunity to do something I love and be available for my children while they were growing up and attending school.

So my 5 star review on Google just got wrecked. Someone called and wanted to know if I would take a fear aggressive "no touch" dog that was a Cane Corso mixed with East Asian Shepherd. I told her absolutely not! I steadfastly reserve the right to safeguard my other boarders, myself, staff and my kennel from a dog that the owner herself deems dangerous. This dog is big and powerful. What if it chews out of the kennel and is loose!! This person goes on to post that if you have a "bully breed" that you should think of taking it elsewhere. I have a fear aggressive pit mix in the kennel now, but she's sweet when bought with hotdogs. I have three other Pitbulls boarding right now. They're all sweethearts. Again, my first priority is to keep my clients safe and as happy as possible while away from their family.

So my boys are always asking what I would like for Christmas. And I always say, "I don't know. I don't need anything." And then today going through emails, I saw a message from the Jackson Interfaith Shelter. I usually donate bus passes and extra eggs the chickens lay. The shelter is renovating and expanding. This is what I've told the boys for Christmas. Make a donation.
This is the season for giving. For those who don't know what you want, I ask that you choose a charity: a needy church family, veteran facility, meals on wheels, animal shelter, Toys for Tots, can of corn.
This isn't a lecture or whatever. This is my epiphany for the season. Ive bought toys and put them in the box, etc. But I've never thought to ask other people to give to others instead of to me. I don't need another sweater or earrings, although I do like Bath and Body Works lotions and I would love someone else to pay my electric in January!
So maybe, if you're like me and can't think of anything you'd like for Christmas or Hanukkah or your holiday, this is an option.

We found our little pit bull! Thank you to all of our neighbors and the strangers we talked to who were so willing to help and keep an eye out. A special thank you to Greg and Rachel Lucas who called us tonight and let us tramp around their property til she came to us.
