The rebirth of Brunswick Veterinary Clinic

Brunswick Veterinary Clinic reopened on January 29, 2020 under the leadership of experienced area veterinarian Tarra Williams, DVM. But this new face will be joined by the familiar husband-and-wife team of Jay Schuff DVM and Rebecca Hahn DVM, who founded the clinic back in 1986.

Dr. Williams, a 2007 UC Davis graduate, was born and raised in Carmichael and is extremely excited to lead the future of such a beloved and long standing local institution β€œWhen I met Jay and Rebecca in the fall and heard about the outpouring from clients and the community when the practice closed, I knew we had to find a way to get Brunswick open again” says Dr. Williams.

While new to working in town, Dr. Williams may have already treated some of your four legged family members: her former practice, VCA Loomis Basin, is the primary referral hospital for Grass Valley. β€œIn 12 years at Loomis, I saw patients from all over Nevada County, I knew Brunswick and cannot wait to help continue its story.” Dr. Williams brings to the community her expert clinical skill set from her time at a leading regional hospital β€œThe benefit of a regional hospital is you see it all, I also worked overnight emergency calls and want to bring that key afterhours service to Brunswick one day: when something happens in the middle of the night to your pet, a local Doctor you know and trust should be nearby to help.” Dr. Williams also has a special interest in complex surgery and dentistry, allowing Brunswick to further expand the quality and depth of services.

Drs. Schuff and Hahn retired in 2011, 25 years after founding the Brunswick. Now they have come out of retirement to team up with Dr. Williams to provide high-quality veterinary care and friendly and professional customer service, which have been the hallmarks of Brunswick Veterinary Clinic.
