AnimalSave is a animal welfare organization that provides low-cost spay/neuter services and finds loving homes for dogs and cats.
Gerard is a young adult male. He is accustomed to an outdoor life and is literally all muscle. We don’t know yet if he’s good with other cats, and hesitate to put him in our main cat room as we currently have so many delicate kittens out and about. Do you have a safe indoor/outdoor environment for this robust young man? He is feeling quite pent up in our transition room. Audrey is still patiently waiting for a home! This young adult usually stays tucked away from the chaos of the cat room, so it’s nice to see her getting out and about.
Sugar Mama is so good with her kittens…. But she is ready to move on! This sweet girl is gentle, brave, and very social. Her 5 beautiful kittens are all still available to adopt as well.

Pazuzu is a darling 5 month old boy. His mother and siblings were taken into foster care while he continually avoided being trapped… finally he was captured around 2 months of age. At that point many kittens are already feral, but “Zuzu “ surprised us all by being amazingly gentle and loving to both people and other cats. He gets song well with all of the cats in our adoption room, and will surely get along well with any cats in your home. Come in and meet him, as well as many other adoptable cats and kittens! We are just about at capacity again after a short reprieve.

Petunia, aka“Toony,” doesn’t care for cats, but she adores people and dogs. Do you think she’ll fit into your home? This tiny lady has a lot to say, and a lot of love to give!
Kelly and Astaire, are handsome 1 year old brothers. Not necessarily bonded, they are getting along very well with all of the cats in our main room. Both boys are friendly and mellow. Visit them Monday-Saturday 11am-4pm.
Good morning from Barbie! She is so much more than a pretty face. Barbie loves people and other cats. She is gentle and quiet, loves cuddles, and is self entertaining. Ready for adoption, as well as many other cats and kittens! 💞

You know how it is when you think things can’t get any harder – then they do?
On Sunday, I got a call from Lotus Jayne, AnimalSave’s cat adoption facility manager, saying it was over 88 degrees in the shelter.
First thing Monday I called our HVAC guy, Steffan. Knowing we had hot cats in the shelter and staff and volunteers trying to keep them cool, he made them a priority and hot-footed it over here. What he hoped would be a reasonably priced repair wasn’t. As it turns out, the twenty-plus year old system has reached the end of its life and the estimate for replacement is $10,000.00.
Because this summer heat will continue for the next few months at least, we must get it replaced now. In the meantime, we have fans and portable air conditioners that are helping a bit.
As this is an unexpected expense, I am asking for the community’s help.
If you know AnimalSave, you know our fifty-year history of rescuing homeless animals. Each year we take in hundreds of cats and kittens, provide them medical care, spay or neuter them and get them into loving, furever homes. I know many of you have adopted treasured dogs and cats from AnimalSave over the years.
In addition, our Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic has operated for over sixteen years and altered over 30,000 animals, helping to reduce the number of homeless animals and the strain on limited shelter space.
We have done so much over the years to help the community and its animals, but now I’m turning to the community for help.
I plan to donate $5,000.00 to help AnimalSave cover this unanticipated expense, and am asking the people of our community to match that amount. Anything, small or large, will be appreciated.
