Country Christmas Faire at the Nevada County Fairgrounds has some aweso.e vendors and a warm and wonderful Christmas vibe going on! Fire pit for warming, yummy food and drinks, Santa and elves and carriage rides drawn by horses! And did i mention wonderful vendors and hsnd made crafts/gifts and more? Join us this weekend! We're in the Northern Mines Building down the wing. Great time for all!

Our online store is finally updated for a simpler shopping experience. Yay! Many popular alpaca items like socks, gloves, beanies, dolls, and a portion of our local yarn is online & available now. To all of you that asked about this...thank you. You gave me the inspiration to finally get that done. Not easy when the farm and animal life rule.

We are having so much fun meeting new friends, having friends from previous visits join us again and encouraging budding artists to many aspects of fiber arts! Today is the last day of Open Studios Nevada County West. We are stop #27 Open 11-5 with alpaca tours at 11am, 1pm, 3pm. Natural Dye demo at noon (very popular!) and fiber art demo at 2pm. Hope you can join the fun!

Rudbeckia, marigold and madder are just a few of the natural dyes we grow onsite at the farm. If you have ever been curious about how natural dyes work, we'll be hosting demonstrations this coming Saturday 10/19 and Sunday 10/20 at noon for The Center for the Arts Open Studios - Nevada County West 2024, Studio #27. Come learn how easy and fun it is to "Paint with Alpaca Fiber!" As part of The Center for the Arts Open Studios - Nevada County West, we will demonstrate painting a picture using alpaca fiber, dyed with natural materials and plants. Natural Dye Demo at noon, and other demonstrations of different art medium’s throughout the day - from fiber art techniques to pyrography and mixed media painting. Free Alpaca Tours at 11am, 1pm, 3pm so you can meet the animals that contribute to our art and the softest wearables ever. Think handmade socks, hats, scarves and more!
