This handsome boy has come such a long way since he was saved, and now he is ready and needs a forever home!!!
Otto is crate trained and walks beautifully on a leash! He does not jump up on people and has a polite demeaner.
He loves to swim!
Otto loves receiving affection, and just relax next to his person. He is an easy going, old soul type of a guy. He wags his tail and smiles, showing he is feeling the love. He doesn't require much aside from the basics, love and safety.
If a low-maintenance and faithful friend is what you seek, Otto is your guy!!

Read on to find out how far this guy has come….
Otto came from a kill shelter and was picked up on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. He was found as a stray - 25lbs underweight, infected ears, had 3 types of intestinal parasites, covered in foxtails and matted. He was defeated and depleted.
Otto has lived with his foster mom since the day he was saved from a very sad and undeserving ending.
He has since been neutered, dewormed, fully vaccinated, brought to a healthy weight, has had surgeries to remove an embedded foxtails, shown safety and love. He is a 5 - 7 yr old, black Border Collie mix weight ~ 63 lbs.
His behavior has shown he was physically mistreated. He would coward and flinch when large objects were picked up and quick movements took place around him. He has since improved on this and is getting happier and more joyful by the day!

Otto is learning to let go of his survival skills he previously depended on.
He can get along with a calm, submissive dog(s). He especially seems to have no issues with small dogs. Slow introductions are needed.
No kitties or small animals please (chickens, rabbits etc.)
