Per usual style I had a great time this weekend catching up with friends and meeting new ones. Rose did so good this weekend at the Northwest Arkansas Kennel Club Scent work trial. We worked on crating indoor manners ( Friday was ruff, Saturday was amazing and today well I moved her to the van she had enough) she worked her rooms AMAZING despite me asking her on Saturday if she was sure as she didn’t give me “alert” with a sit. Today I called it when she told me the first time “trust your dog people 🙄” even with out the sit.

Little update for today! We should get above freezing.. my driveway and road should thaw out some. Had a second water pipe freeze in the house but i got it running. Now I wait to see if I can fill the tanks in the trailer. The trucks been getting out just haven’t tried the trailer 😑 or the minivan…

Looks like I will be working on re-scheduling dogs for next week.

This is my 1st winter in the trailer and anything under 30* is not feasible (can’t keep the trailer warm)

Please be understanding as this is just as frustrating for me as well 😭

Happy IPGD to all of my fellow groomers. This is not an easy career to choose. We love dogs and that's why we get into it, but many do not tell us how difficult his job truly is. Grooming is not only mentally exhausting, but physically exhausting. From matted dogs, to aggressive dog, to seniors that we see age and feel the pain and heartache when they pass. I'm an emotional person already, but I can't count the number of times I have cried while grooming or after a groom due to just those three things listed. Many do not know the blood, sweat and tears us groomers put into our everyday life. I have considered hanging my shears up multiple times, even tried to switch gears and go back to a corporate job, however I always come back to grooming. This is my career, this is my passion, this is my life. Please, the next time you are frustrated with your groomer for something silly like your dogs ears being uneven or they did the wrong length, take a step back and try to remember what your groomer goes through. Maybe they got bit that day, maybe another customer already yelled at them, maybe they did a last groom on a senior dog and balled their eyes out, but still have 5 more dogs to groom that day. This job is not easy, this job is not for everyone, but this is what I choose and even on my hardest of hard days, I couldn't picture myself doing anything else at this moment.

Tip your groomers y'all! We get s**t on a lot, literally and figuratively 🐾

Last stop of the day ! I had the pleasure of pampering this boy this afternoon. Don’t let that sweet face fool you 😂😂 yeah I’m lying he’s as sweet as can be !!! His momma even brought (met up at her daughters house) me some absolutely gorgeous flowers from her garden 🥺🥺🥺 y’all it’s the little things that mean so much!! oh man they smell so good. thank you Lauren’s momma ❤️❤️
