☀️🐾 Summertime Safety Tips for Your Pup! 🐾☀️

At Pet Commander Kennels, we know how much fun summer can be for you and your four-legged friends—but rising temps also bring rising risks for dogs. Here are a few quick tips to help you keep your pup safe and healthy this season:

🌡️ Watch the Heat: If it’s too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for their paws. Early morning or late evening walks are best.

🚗 Never Leave Them in the Car: Even with the windows cracked, cars can reach dangerous temps in just minutes.

💦 Hydration is Key: Always keep fresh water available. Dehydration and heatstroke are real dangers this time of year.

🐾 Sun Protection Matters: Light-colored or short-haired dogs can get sunburned! Ask your vet about pet-safe sunscreen if your pup loves lounging in the sun.

🦟 Bugs & Bites: Mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas are more active in summer. Stay up to date on preventatives and check them after outdoor play.

Charlie is a chocolate-colored Labradoodle currently enrolled in our 30-Day Obedience Training Program here at Pet Commander Kennels—and he’s winning hearts left and right! 💛

Not only is Charlie making great strides with his training, but he also has the cutest little quirk… he loves to collect sticks! While there might not be any in this photo, trust us—if there's a stick nearby, Charlie will find it and proudly carry it along on his training walks. It's his signature move! 🌿🐶
